Blue Front Cafe - Bentonia - Photo album

Excellent bologna sandwich! Cold beer! Immaculate service. Friendly lady at the bar.
If you love the history of the blues you definitely have to check it out. The folks here are very friendly!
this is the place where my daddy started the Bentonia Blues at the Blue Front Cafe had a real good time there this weekend at the Bentonia Blues Festival
this place is an amazing piece of history owned and operated for the last 40+ years by Jimmy "Duck" Holmes. if you're lucky enough to cross paths with him, he might play a song for you.
Just a lazy afternoon at the blue front cafe.. Jimmy was awesome! Spent time with us and talked blues with my man. Next time.. we'll make sure we go on a weekend for some jams! Happy travelling!
Had a fabulous time at the birthday celebrations for the oldest surviving juke joint in the state. Jimmy Holmes treated everyone to some of his storytelling through blues. On the alternate stage, free live performances by Terry "Harmonica" Bean was followed by the stage being set of fire by Roosevel
Like the sign inside says, the last original juke joint on Highway 49. Stopped in twice the same day, once in the afternoon and later on for some good blues. Jimmy "Duck" Holmes is the owner and plays Bentonia-style blues (CDs are for sale, they're building the kitchen, and drinks are affordable).
Try the salads there delicious, great food.
