We come from Philadelphia and can honestly say that the meals of The Old Filling Station are of equal or better quality compared to many of the restaurants in our city. We have been eating dinner here for years during our visits and the food has always been excellent. The owner/chef and staff add to the warm and friendly atmosphere that is always present. We just learned that breakfast will be served until 2pm. Since we are not morning people, this will allow us now to eat breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. If you have not been to The Old Filling Station yet, we highly recommend that you put it on your list. You will not regret it.
I have been here for lunch several times and am never disappointed! The food is all homemade and prepared with special touches. The food is always promptly served and service is outstanding. Would highly recommend trying! �
I was here with 4 friends yesterday and it was fantastic!!! Everyone of us enjoyed our lunch, and the soup was amazing!! We sat on the upper deck and watched the weather change from sun to pouring rain!!! And our server and the hostess were so very nice!! We will return!
Always a terrific prepared meal here. Last night I had an office dinner at the Old Filling Station and not only was the food terrific but the service was terrific as well.

Awesome service and amazing, delicious food. Real food... should be on tv on "diners, drive ins, and dives." My new favorite spot to eat. Thank you for cooking real food that is at an affordable price.

I've are there 2X a loved it. Quaint little place with excellent home cooking. Also have vegetarian options. If I'm in the area, I'll be stopping in !

Great service & delicious meals made with love! Every time we come up to Benton, we look forward to eating there (several times in a few days!).
We chose this place to cater our wedding being held at Mountain View Barn Rentals and they did an amazing job! We did a tasting prior and everything we tried was delicious! When it came to the wedding day they surpassed our expectations with table setup, clean up and overall service. We would highly recommended them for all your catering needs! Never disappoints! Best kept secret in Columbia County. If given a choice of places to eat, I would pick there everytime. Prices are great and everything is home cooking! Very clean and super friendly staff add to the cozy atmosphere. If you don't give it a try, you're missing out!
Stopped in here for breakfast recently and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good - the hash browns had a nice sear on one side and the sourdough toast was absolutely delicious. This seems like a small thing but your toast comes buttered for you; and I don’t mean a slice of butter is placed in the middle of each slice of toast and you have to spread it around yourself. I mean they actually fully butter your toast so it’s perfect for eating the second it arrives at your table. I appreciated that. Also the staff was really friendly.
Great little place! We were so glad we stopped for dinner while we were in the area. Food was great, service was awesome and pricing was fair. We will be back for sure!
This is the place to go for “comfort food” after a hike at nearby Ricketts Glen. Both the food and the helpful menu suggestions from my waitress Kadie were excellent as was her service. The atmosphere was cozy, like being in a friends home. Will stop again when visiting the area next Fall.
