Nice little place to have lunch or ice cream. The cafe building was once a church and the seats inside are repurposed pews from when it was a church. Excellent food. Nothing fancy. Tasted great

Cozy place with good food and good service. Food is also really good. It's extremely clean and the old church frame gives it a really bright but comfortable ambiance. Whether you have a camp on the hill or you're just visiting to see the elk, it's the place for you. They can even take groups. We will be back.

Overpriced place lacking in variety, bland food! steak salad consisted of iceberg lettuce n chopped green peppers and onions and a few pieces of overcooked steak served with packets of ranch... definitely will not eat there again and will tell others about the lackluster experience

Came to benzette for mine and my wife 1 year anniversary and brought are side by side up.. we were able to drive to this place Wich is now called elk life and enjoy some great food and the staff that works there are very good and quick with our order. Would deffently recommend for any one waiting some small quick food and good ice cream and coffee.

We decided to eat here to take in the local flavor during the height of the Elk mating season. It is a neat eatery in a converted Catholic church. The food was average, and priced a little on the high side. The raspberry iced tea was the real deal, not too sweet. Our server was kind and genuine and let us know up front that we would have a 40 minute wait. We didn't mind waiting because it gave us a chance to look at all the nuances of both the restaurant itself and the people. Probably won't go back again, but it's worth.going at least once.

We were starving and we drove a long way to see the elk. My husband order the food . Food was good. Except we paid 30.17 for 2 burgers and a 50cent bag of chips .which is not what was advertise. That was Cole slaw and mac and cheese. But they dont fo that any more. So we paid way to much and was charged for 20 oz drink and got 16 oz . And there was a neighborhood dog friendly .but was rubbing his testicles all over while we ate

Friendly staff, the best Reubens that our guests had eaten in a while. The elk burgers were good. It is a small place, but very friendly, clean and fast service
