Yesterday I was delighted to read that Big Ski's Pierogis was open! You see, they are very good about connecting to their consumers via Facebook. Sometimes location can be a tad unclear, but if you read a post or two back you will be able to find them. The owner is a gem and you can tell he loves his job!
Yesterday, I had the classic OG (cheese and potato) and The Pollo Del Fuego served with a scrumptious cup of Chowder. The OG is of course delicious, the potatoes taste just like my mother's on thanksgiving. I do wish there was more cheese. None the less absolutely fantastic. The Pollo Del Fuego was my favorite part of the meal! It's like having a chicken enchilada pierogi style! The heat is good, the chicken is moist, and I loved how it was seasoned so simply and effectively. Lastly, the chowder! I have to admit I wasn't sure what kind of chowder I was getting into ( Calm, corn, etc.). To the best of my knowledge its like a cross between a New England and Rhode Island style clam chowder. I loved it! I typically a thick New England Chowder warms my heart, however, I find this chowder to be superior. Big Ski's chowder has a light and fresh flavor without the bomb of flour and starch once your stomach settles. It's unquestionably delectable!
Every time I have been by the truck I have left happy and full. The people working are pleasant and full of personality. They take about 10 min to serve your food and for $10 you can have a full meal (and order of Pierogi and a side) whether it be completed with chowder or kielbasa sausage and onion. I would recommend anyone looking for a little diversity in their food beyond the few Thai and sub par Chinese restaurants around Bend to give Big Ski's Pierogi a try!
Just got this place checked out. The guy that runs it is a badass and the pierogis are on point. Cannot recommend enough!
Ate mine so fast I don't have a picture. To die for top quality pierogi in a great spot at GoodLife. If you haven't tried Big Ski's you're seriously missing out.
I've never had pierogis before! Anytime I've seen them they've been in the freezer aisle in Canada, haha. The owner is HILARIOUS and makes the entire process loads of fun. The cart is visible from the parking lot which is great, and the Beer Life garden is neat to wander around while everything is being cooked for you. Great service, Great Food, and even better atmosphere! Super cool lunch spot.
This place is the bomb and I am happy I took a quick detour to grab a bite to eat! The Pierogi are overstuffed pillows of deliciousness smothered in cooked onion and crispy salt pork with a side of sour cream. They offer many varieties besides your traditional fillings. Steak bomb, buffalo chicken and the OG, yes please!
Very good food and awesome staff! I will definitely eat here again!
The Bender is one of the best vegetarian meals I have ever had.
Love the new location . Thanks Richie for the go-pierogie’s...we will enjoy them tonight in PDX!
A must stop in Bend. The sampler is perfect for the person that came from nextdoor.
Pierogis to die for, aaaaand the best chowder I've ever had. Hands down, some of my favorite food in town.
Big Ski's is on point. Had the Buffalo Chicken for lunch today...killer! Rich you've got a good thing going! If you haven't tried Big Ski's you have to! It won't let ya down!
Rich is the best and so is his food. Best pierogies I've ever had!!!
Wow, Amazing food. I never want to make my own Pierogi's again. I just wish I lived closer to Bend so I could eat here any time I pleased. Which would be often. We met owner Rich and his son Sam and they chose for us. Although I can't eat dairy, there were plenty of options of Pierogi's to choose and all were amazing. The dessert: Cherry filled Pierogi's are to die for.
They are hard to find, we almost gave up. They are off the parking lot in the back of Good Life brewing.
Spectacular! Traditional potato, some awesome pork and beef options, veg, and a super ridiculous cabbage roll. Anyone can find something they'll love, and they will!
I met the Pierogi King of Bend today and enjoyed a sampler platter of Polish goodness at Goodlife Brewery - Bend is heaven, good beer awesome food, great evenings!

These pierogis are so delicious... We go out of our way to follow the menu and go get them!! These are nothing like the store bought junk I grew up eating....
I still don't know what a pierogi is but I do know they're exceptionally tasty. Well worth the stop and super friendly staff and the food is amazing! A must stop in Bend
This place is amazing. Great perogies, best price. Everyone who I've met working there is very nice. Must try this place.

Such a delighting surprise to find a pierogi cart in Bend today at GoodLife Brewing! Being that I'm a Polish pierogi making gal myself, I always approach a new pierogi maker with excited skepticism... That said, not only are Rich's pierogis the real deal, I was charmed to realize he feels just like family - warm and funny and oh so Polish! Proud to see and taste such an excellent local representation! Polish approved by this Pole! And thanks for the tips to up my production rate too Rich! Cheers!
The most amazing comfort food you'll ever have. Come for lunch you won't regret it. Your taste buds will go to heaven.
One hell of a pierogi Big Ski's! They don't skimp on the good stuff, but double your order cause your taste buds will still be watering after they're all gone! Legit dudes making good food!
Best pierogis I've ever had, hands down!

Just like my Grandma and Mom make. My heart and belly are happy. Rockin!!
THIS PLACE IS 🔥🔥🔥
Love they are the only pirogi place in town and we have this option. Owner is from Boston and passionate about the product! Don’t miss the Golumbki, Kielbasa, and the sampler pirogi 6 pack!!! And the root beer float :-)
Sooooo good! Even went back to order more. Located at pod ski with several other food trucks. This was first on our list based on the reviews and definitely didn’t disappoint. I liked that we could pick our perogies for our sampler which made us go back for more. Served hot. She added sour cream and onions if you wanted which was a great add on to these pillows of deliciousness.
So good! I hit up the food truck at the Smith pumpkin patch and they were so nice and friendly and the food was so great. Haven't has a pierogi this good in awhile! And I got the last of the Sour cream! So thankful cause they go hand in hand!!!!
Delicious, but not as flavorful as I had hoped. I ordered "the king" and while it was filling, it was just a tad bit greasy for my taste (it didn't stop me from finishing it though). It was the only place in the food lot I could find with Diet Coke!
These guys are so cool! We know them from the podski mainly but see them at all sorts of events. Everyone that works for them is so kind! We were at smith rock pumpkin patch and my son wanted to use their leaf blower make shift recycling canon so I went to buy a water so we could drink it and he could use it on the recycling ‘canon’ I saw these guys and knew that’s who I wanted to support, their water bottles were surprisingly 2$ instead of the $3 everyone else was charging. Then I asked if they had any recycling we could take care of because my son wanted to use the canon and they loaded us up with the drinks they had finished throughout the day. We came back to get pierogis and the kid I front of us was so excited to get ice cream but the kid in-front of him got the last scoop! The guy felt bad and gave him the whole container with a spoon to scrape up the left of it! I tried to get a pic but it all happened so fast. The nicest people and their pierogis are amazing!!! Didn’t get a pic of the pierogis but did get a pic of my son walking to the canon with all the recycling!
Delicious pierogies (Polish dumplings)! We got a sampler of 6, and all were soo good! Also the food truck area has a really cool vibe 👌🏼
Excellent selection including a sampler option. Rich (the owner?) was very nice and friendly, would definitely patronize again if I'm ever in the area again. Try the Chowda!
This cart has a great selection of perogis to try. If you don't know what to get, order the Sampler and then you can get a bit of each. Some standout ones to me were the BCB, Hell's OG' and the bacon one. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly in taking our order.

I got the sampler, with 6 different pierogi. I liked some better than others but all were tasty and the variety was very impressive. Definitely worth checking out! The Podski food cart pod is also very nice, with lots of food options and good seating.
Found this place on diners, drive-ins and dives and thought I would check it out when I was visiting in Bend. It’s located in a little food truck park which is pretty neat. The pierogies were tasty in the service was friendly and prompt.
BIG SKI'S Pierogis went above and beyond for me today. I am gluten free and needed something desperately, they made me a GF Kielbasa bowl; with sliced and grilled Kielbasa, onions, kraut,, shrooms and mustard 😋 😊 best thing I've had in a long time. THANK YOU!
Excellent pierogi's, highly recommend the sampler to try different flavors - big fan of the spicy ones and the og always hits the spot too - plus they always come with delicious onions and a healthy dose of sour cream for dipping. IMO this is the most consistent cart at Podski in the last couple years. Service can be a little slow but they're always friendly and easy going.
I'm a big chowder guy so I finally got to try theirs this week and it was piping hot, hearty with good potato chunks and plenty of clams, and tasted fresh plus came with oyster crackers. The "cup" (small bowl) for $8 felt very much worth the money. Great for a sunny but chilly winter day.
Tasty and will be back. Some needed a sauce on the side. Maybe some hot sauce 😋 congrats on the DDD episode!
Can't say enough about this place! Great person (Rich) running it! Best Pierogi I had in USA
My mom use to make them on a weekly basis and this is VERY close to her version of it! The verity is great. A must try while in Bend
This place is absolute perfection! A friend works here and has been telling me to stop by, but I've avoided going because of parking. We finally went to get a sampler earlier this week and WOW!! We have already been back twice since 😂 My favorites are 'The O.G' and 'Green Monstah', but you cant go wrong with anything you order! My boyfriend and I can both be picky eaters and have yet to try one we dont like, in fact we walk away talking about 1. How freaking GOOD/satisfying that was, and 2. The next time we can come back
We literally drive out to bend just to get our dose of these tasty pierogis . They’re all so delicious. We usually get the sampler , our favorite is hells OG, has a nice spicy kick to
It.
