Food was amazing. Server was very attentive and gave plenty of space/not overbearing, and was friendly. Atmosphere was fine… nothing amazing, but did good. With the exception of how the noise travels in the restaurant… they probably need more noise dampeners because the echo effect amplified a lot of noise. More details on why I rated what I did below. Update 1: as promised didn’t have a repeat performance of utensils cleaning twice since and therefore I am upping the star rating to 5 again. Food 5/5: was fantastic. Zero complaints… with MAYBE a miner feedback. The artichoke bread (totally but hung the name), the bread was pretty thick and hearty and therefore stole a lot of the flavor. Not enough to even lower my start rating. We also love that the food is seasonal, local, and they try to organic and sustainable. It really makes us rest easier. My wife has to be very careful with what she eats due to illness, and this makes us relax on that front. Service 4/5: Not because our server was bad or the interaction was less ideal, but because of what some of the staff was doing (unrelated to us). In the booth next to us, someone was organizing utensils and every time they would place something down it sounded like someone throwing it down into a pile of other utensils. It was EXTREMELY disruptive to the environment of having a calm date night with my wife. She literally had to get up and walk outside till they were done because it was giving her a headache. I probably should have said something to them, but they kept getting up and walking away and I would think, “oh, they are probably done” and I didn’t want to make a scene. Atmosphere 4/5: as mentioned above. The noise factor could use some improvement, but it was pretty nice all around.

Roam is a Hotel bistro/bar serving rustic tasty dishes in an elegant setting. I ordered the Elk sausage scramble for breakfast, it was light on the pallet and filling. The peppers were very forward and I believe the potatoes overpowered the taste of the elk. Hence no 5 stars on the food. Overall solid breakfast or brunch place for a morning cocktail.

Wow,… was not expecting much from a hotel restaurant but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The ambiance, service, food & cocktails were all excellent. Our salads, bruschetta and smoked salmon dip were all very delicious. The menu is especially nice because it defines food designations for each dish (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc…) which is a plus for those diners who have food restrictions. Also a plus that they offered gluten free pasta (I didn’t try it but will when I return) The only problem with the menu is that my choice to eat wasn’t easy due to all their wonderful items. I’m sure I’ll be going back to eat my way through the menu. We saw other diners of the dishes and they all looked delicious. I hope Roam can retain their front and back of house employees in this difficult labor market and I hope it’s successful because it’s a gem of a restaurant in our area.

Roam is the restaurant inside of the Oxford Hotel. It's open long hours and has lots of tables inside and outside. They have a decent sized menu and prices are ok considering the average portion sizes. Lots of freshly made food though which is nice. The service here is good, although when it gets busy you can get missed for a bit. Food os pretty good as well, their brunch menu is limited to a few breakfast specials and then lunch stuff.

I don't even want to write this because part of me wants to gatekeep. But out of respect for our amazing server, who totally deserves more foot-traffic, I feel I must. Visiting Bend for the first time, this was the first restaurant we ventured. It was for brunch and to say it's a "hidden gem" is an understatement. The Eggs Benedict were the best I've ever had and the breakfast potatoes were so well-seasoned they didn't need any condiment -- which is crazy for me, specifically, because I am the type of person who uses chicken nuggets as a vehicle for my ketchup. When our server told us the ketchup was from Portland, however, I had to try it. I'm not exaggerating when I say I got emotional. I legitimately teared up because it was just so good. I guess that could also have something to do with the delicious pear-flavored mimosa, for which I drank like a milkshake. I am visiting, so intend to try other restaurants while here... but a big part of me just wants to eat at Roam for the rest of my visit. I truly cannot recommend this spot enough. And -- as an added benefit -- it's located right in the heart of Bend. So afterward, when you feel truly disgusting because you simply couldn't control yourself from finishing your dish, despite being full halfway through, you can walk it off while shopping and admiring the town's fun, artsy, "metro" vibe.

The caprese salad was one of the best I’ve had and the BBQ short rib enchiladas were incredible. Our server was stellar. Sat outside and the patio is lovely, on a nice quiet end of the street.

Stayed 1 night in Bend for business. Wife and I have pretty strict dietary restrictions, and Roam had no issues with accommodating us. Food was delicious and prices were fair for the portions. Cocktails were strong but not boozy. Our server checked on us regularly and was very friendly. It was a warm night so we ate outside and found it pleasant and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

Great flavors and decent portion size for the price. We got the Ahi tuna starter, the pork belly, and the pumpkin chicken enchiladas. The ahi starter could have used more mini-crackers to eat the tuna with, but the flavors were great. The mains were both delicious. I had the enchiladas and the chicken sold the dish for me: perfectly tender and flavorful. We look forward to going back and trying more!
