Everything from the food to the service, to the ambiance, was top notch. My wife and I both commented on how impressed we were with the food and even if the service wasn't great, and it was excellent, we'd come back. The owners and staff went out of their way to make our night extra special and for a couple with a newborn, this can't be understated.
Great experience. Just moved to Bend ( not from CA) and found this gem. Exceptional food and the bartender was incredible, knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Bends food scene is unbelievable.
Love the food, consistently good. Workers are kind and knowledgeable and waiter over the top perfect. I love to be waited on with that perfect tough - not too little, not too much (attention that is). Always a highlight when I go here.
My Steve McQueen sushi roll with macadamia nuts and tuna was superb. The service was also exceptional. This was lovely meal for myself and my cousin after many hours of driving! Good pick for a fine dinner.
Every time we make it to Bend we find time to dine at 5 Fusion. Sometimes we make it to Bend JUST to eat at 5 Fusion. Chef Kim is an artist and I aspire to be as creative as he is. The whole crew is professional and attentive yet they create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Saturday night My wife and I had an exquisite meal and were treated like royalty on our anniversary. As food professionals ourselves we love to dine and this was an experience we will not forget.

After a long day visiting Newberry National Volcanic Monument, we needed to refresh ourselves so we settled on happy hour at 5 Fusion. This was our initial visit and we absolutely loved the modern decor. I requested a drink menu settling on a marionberry Cosmopolitan for the Mrs. and a lavender lemondrop for her handsome companion along with the arancini appetizer. The drinks were, the same can not be said for the arancini which turned out to be better looking than tasting. On the second round we both ordered glasses of the house red which turned out to Lockwood Cabernet Sauvignon that was very considering the price. On our trip we managed to hit over a dozen different happy hours and the drinks here were the best.
I've never been a particularly ambitious foodie (I even despise that term), and I've never been willing to pony up the dough for a tasting menu, but then again I've never had the chance at an Asian one. There are a few different options available, but the eleven course Chef's Tasting Menu at $115 was the one that caught my eye. I mean if you're going to do it then do it right, yeah?
Still, I was indecisive. There were other very good looking places to go and spend a lot less money. The day before I was to leave for my trip, I decided to call them and ask how much notice they needed if I wanted to pull the trigger, and they said 24 hours. I was then offered the choice of the tasting menu shown on their website, or just letting the chef do his own thing. How could I resist that? I made the reservation.
Easily the best sushi I have ever had. Try the spicy edamame with a Crux Pilsner.
We were vacationing in Bend and stumbled upon this gem. The atmosphere is very relaxing! The service was fantastic, our waiter was friendly, knowledgable and the right amount of attentive. The Sushi is phenomenal: we had the Steve McQueen and Wagyu. Their filet mignon lollipops were fantastic. For dessert we had the banoffee, which was melt in your mouth yummy. We were very pleased with the overall experience. We definitely recommend trying it!
Fabulous! This place Rocks!!! Some of the most creative cuisine in Bend and in Oregon, for that matter. Chef Joe and his team execute fusion cuisine that will blow your mind. Super creative and innovated specials. Lots of attention to detail. Service staff does a great job also. You always feel very welcome in this house! Trust me, eat here!
FAbulous restaurant. We ate here for our 29th anniversary dinner and I have to say I don't think I've ever been treated as well in a restaurant. The food was fantastic, a very nice blend of Japanese and NW. But the service was even better and the head chef was very generous with us when he'd heard it was our anniversary and even cooked us a special dish not on the menu. It was almost like the wait staff and chefs were celebrating their own anniversaries. We sat at the Sushi bar which I recommend as the sushi chefs are fun to watch. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back again and again.

If you're looking for a sushi restaurant and/or want to try other dishes this is the best place. The mrals and sushi are creative and tasty. I recommend the Peking duck and filet mignon lollipops. Those were my two favorite. The shogun roll was great!
Wonderful Setting, Delicious Food. From the moment you sit down in the modern and gorgeous setting, to the last bite of dessert, dining at 5 Fusion is a fabulous experience. We especially love the waitstaff, knowing several by name now. Inventive dishes are always coming out of the kitchen. Ingredients taste fresh, and everything is beautifully presented. I enjoy going in for a happy hour small plate and cocktail with freshly squeezed juice. The lunch hour is a nice way to have something a little nicer than a cold sandwich at a reasonable price. My favorite is the shitake soba in a rich, hot broth. Especially nice on a cold day.

According to a 22 April 2010 article in the Bend Bulletin, the restaurant formerly known as "5 Spice Fusion & Sushi Bar" in downtown Bend has changed its name to "5 Fusion & Sushi Bar" to avoid a potential trademark concern with a Lake Oswego, Oregon, seafood and wine bar.

The atmosphere at the restaurant is excellent. The photos on the wall are quite unique as well as the water feature above the main dining area. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the beef spare ribs. The location right downtown is perfect. We were quickly greeted as we entered, they knew we had a reservation right away and the server was friendly and quite attentive.
Sushi here was really good, if not a bit pricey, and service was excellent. Nice downtown Asian vibe. We did not make reservations but got seated immediately. They have a really cool overhead light that is filled with water and gives a shimmery effect to the ground. Definitely recommend.
Took my husband to try this place out for his birthday dinner. The food was excellent though quite expensive. service was a little slow but friendly. The bathrooms were oddly dirty and decorated for such a refined front of house and you have to cross through the expo area to get there which was awkward. We had a good time though and may be back in the future. I didn’t get a chance to try the drinks but they looked amazing.

I had to write a review on this place. Our family of five was visiting Oregon for the first time and we were craving sushi. As my husband and I started researching reviews on all the places, we started coming to the realization that we were probably going to be settling for some very mediocre sushi. One place that had great reviews was a food truck, another one specialized in conveyer belt sushi (🤢), and another required reservations and a $10 deposit per person just to make a reservation. Somehow we found Five Fusion and starting reading reviews and looking at pictures posted by other diners.
It was a Wednesday night and we called and got a reservation no problem. The bottom floor was fully reserved but they got us a great table on the second level for 5:30pm. We wanted an earlier time since we were bringing our toddler along with us. When we walked in we were shocked at how beautiful the restaurant was. It had a rectangle of water that travels the length of the entire ceiling that looks so cool from the bottom and upper level. The servers/hosts were all so professional and kind, our waters were never empty and empty plates were cleared so promptly. Most importantly, the sushi was seriously some of the best sushi we've ever had. My husband and 12 year old shared a double order of oysters which they loved. We ordered about 7 rolls and 5 orders of nigiri and every single roll was beautiful and delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh. Even our toddler gobbled up two plates of sliced avocado, some tofu cubes and all of his miso from his sippy cup lol.
Seriously, we can't recommend this place enough. We paid a lot but we ordered a lot and it was my husabnd's birthday so perfect occasion. Next time we visit Bend we know exactly where we will be dining. Big thanks to this restaurant and the staff for an amazing dining experience on our last night of our vacation.
Five stars consistent experience every time. They go above and beyond for the quality here. I go weekly and get special rolls with this delicious eggplant small plate, spicy tuna rice cakes and the best salad of all time — romaine with avocado, crab, and black miso dressing. The recent additions of the tacos are fantastic. They are always updating the menu and the drinks are top notch too.

Cool, stylish atmosphere with food and service to match. Clean and inviting throughout with upscale lighting and decor. Sushi was diverse and expertly prepared. Service was great with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are a little high, but portions and quality are worth it.
Quality of sushi was great. The geisha roll was delicious. Waiter was fast and friendly. Restaurant was nice. They had plenty of staff. Was not busy when I was there.
Delicious food across the board! Ordered the short ribs with a side of Thai fried rice as well as the rising sun roll. All excellent. Our waitress Tasha was very friendly, and the chef-owner Sasha brought out our warm brown butter cake (also delicious) and chatted with us. Good food served by good people. 5 stars in my book.
Absolutely the BEST in bend. Spot on for food, drinks , and service. Sasha (owner) and Jason (GM) truly care about your experience here. Our server was Josh and he is great as well. Everything is FRESH and flavorful. We LOVE the negi hama, hearts of palm, spicy Celine roll, and banafe(desert), but everything is good. Just close your eyes and pick a random item and you will still be happy. We also recommend the botanist drink. Super refreshing. Enjoy!
