One of the great local Bend spots! It was packed shoulder to shoulder on our most recent visit. Luckily enough a few minutes after we put our name on the list, a couple spots opened up at the bar. Shane took good care of us during our time. We were planning to visit to try a few specific menu items but came to find out that they now have a reduced/limited menu. Still plenty of good options. They are known for their Mac n Cheese, so we had to order it as a side. The mac was bomb. Definitely homemade. Gotta love it. We also tried the Pepper Steak and the Bro Jos Burger. Both are packed with great flavor and have you coming back for bite after bite. We can see why this is a popular local spot. Give em a visit!

My companion enjoyed a burger with bbq sauce and bacon.. he loved it! We for sure will dine here again..Honorable mention, the cocktails we tried were very good!

Really great food. Unexpected from the outside. Delicious food, warm and inviting. Pretzels was soft, flakey and amazing. Veggie bomb burger and chicken avocado ranch sandwich are also highly recommended. Bartender/Waitress was very friendly and went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Bend.

I miss the Turkey Rachel. It was my absolute favorite sandwich of all time. I wish they wouldn’t have taken it off the menu. I stopped going as frequently but decided to give it another go after a fairly long hiatus. It seems to me (and the kid) that the food just isn’t quite as good as it used to be. Maybe I’m just missing the best sandwich ever made, but since the kid concurred I don’t think that’s the only issue. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good, but it’s no longer in my “must eat here in a regular basis” list.

I went here to try "Bends best Rueben" What I found was the best clam chowder I've had in quite sometime and the drinks were fabulous. The service was amazing as well. For the Rueben, I was a little bummed. It was good. Just a little minus on the quantity of corned beef and kraut. Cool place. Not a lot of places where "Phish" and the Chicago Bears share the same wall.

Wow! We found a goldmine when we decided to eat at Brother Jon's. Great little bungalow converted to a bar and restaurant. Everything is house made including our salad dressings. The house salad and pretzel with habanero cheese and stone ground mustard was delish! And then the house smoked meat on our French dip and Cheesesteak was melt in your mouth, slap your momma good. We also tried the loaded potato soup and hand cut fries and were delighted. I love a good sturdy, well seasoned cup of aus jus and this was truly one of the best. I could hardly wait to write their review. There is limited parking but a lot of on street parking in a walkable neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and people eating at outside garden tables. A true gem in Bend.

This was my first trip to Bend and I started for looking for an original "Bend" spot and was going to hit the Deschutes Brewery, but parking within blocks was a pain. A friend said, check out 10 Barrel, so I had to roll around the block and spotted a Bend spot. Brother Jon's looked like just the place for the original Bend experience. DO NOT MISS BROTHER JON'S! The staff...welcoming, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. Jack Sparrow Sandwich was meaty with a little pineapple to keep it juicy, but not messy. Handcut fries with BOMB Sauce (B.S.) perfect together and get a side of B.S. to dip Jack Sparrow in for a bit of a kick. Beer was good, Margaritas were better! Fresh pressed juice for the Margaritas was awesome! I had to go back to try something else, it was going to be a burger, but opted for the Cajun Chicken and Sausage over penne. This dish, as it should have been, was spicy, I like sauce and it could have used a bit more with a side of bread, but hey, I'd order it again in a second! Lastly, bc I was sitting at the bar I had a great vantage point to watch the crew work and they worked together well, smooth operation. Props to servers 1st trip James, 2nd trip Dana👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Perfect Bend eatery. Not corporate. Great beers and excellent Chef prepared foods in an environment the is so Bend. Took an old house and converted to a great stop for food and beverage. Spicy mixed drinks are delicious. Chef specials is what I always get. Changes every visit. Owners are there all the time making the place perfect.

My wife and I stopped here to grab takeout the other night. I had a Brother John Burger with fries, and she had a buffalo chicken salad. I would def place the burger as one of the best in town. Lots of flavor in the meat, with two patties to boot! Oddly enough, I have to comment on the bun too. The sesame seed bun was big and delish. The spicy buffalo chicken salad was awesome. The chicken was a good portion and the buffalo sauce was on point...and on the extra spicy side which we love! My wife went inside to grab the food, and she said we have to go back sometime because the setup inside was great too. Oh yeah, the fries were thick cut and delish...

Great soft pretzel and an amazing hummus plate. This is a cozy bar/restaurant with great service and smiles everywhere you look. I really enjoy sharing the hummus plate and grabbing a beer to watch a game or just relax.

Excellent! Great for every time! My only complaint is they don't really have drink specials. The bar drinks leave room for improvement. Otherwise yum yum yum. Go on Friday night they have the most amazing prime rib dinner that is ALWAYS on Friday night! Best bang for your buck in town.

One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Bend. A lot of places’ service suffers when they get busy. Somehow the staff at Brother Jon’s always seems to step up their game. We love the food and appreciate the great service.

The staff is great and the food is amazing. The bartenders know how to pour a drink;-) They have an awesome drink, not on the menu, called VNB (very nice beverage). I highly recommend you try it!

We’re from out of town and have visited this public house on two separate trips (spanned years apart) and had great experiences both times. The staff was super friendly and quick. Amazing sandwiches and chili with great beer options. They said there would be a 20 minute wait but it was much less. Still would have been worth the wait!

Always a great place for a meal and adult beverages. Jon's is a friendly public house with an outstanding atmosphere. The service is consistantly above most establishments and the food is delicious. I personally enjoy the Reuben sandwich, which I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed at Brother Jon's Public house on Galveston Ave.

It was a fun little place. The food was okay. The homemade pretzel was great but the cheese sauce that it came with was flavorless. The portions were big.

Fantastic food and great service. Can take some time to get a seat on a busy Friday night. We waited more than thirty minutes, but my Reuben was amazing and my wife's grilled portobello sandwich was off the charts great.
