Dead Fish Grill

Fantastic experience. Lee was my waiter, and he was professional, courteous, and personable. Sit up by the glass windows if you can, right when the sun goes down over Belton Lake. Probably one of the most romantic settings I've seen in quite some time. Portions are huge too. Margherita, Corona, coconut shrimp, and the catfish plate cost me 50$, not too shabby. Definitely bringing the Ole lady here!

New to Central Texas coming from up North, my husband and I decided to check this place out based on the reviews and because it’s on the lake. We’ll, I was not disappointed at all. It was a little chilly this particular day so we chose to sit inside. My waitress was Clarissa and she was awesome! Her suggestion was the shrimp and grits, and it was very good. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture! We also ordered the queso and my husband said “ that’s all he’s ordering next time with some drinks. Everyone was ver friendly and I can’t wait to go back on a day when it’s really nice to sit outside.

We have been here several times and have always enjoyed the service and food. We have tried a few different items on the menu but both the catfish plate and shrimp plate have been our orders of choice. If you have never been here make sure to come near but before sunset to experience the firing of the cannon.

Beautiful scenery across the lake. It was a chilly night but the heat lamps worked wonders. The food was so delicious!! I have to bring my parents here one day from San antonio. The staff and waiters were so good!! They were nice and met my every need as far as refills, silverware aand dessert needs. I will definitely be back.

I had fun! 😊 Place has a view and live 🎶 music. They even fire a canyon. Don't worry ladies it's not that loud 🔊 of a 💣 noise. It was fun though. And it was my first experience. Just cover your ears. I even went down to the beach from this place. A little rock climbing up/down to get to the beach but we'll worth it! With an amazing view! We even went fishing 🎣.

View was lovely. Food was quite decent. Waitress was inexperienced. My husband ordered a beer. We were sitting across from the bar - the exact spot where we had direct sight of when drinks were done. The beer sat there at least ten minutes before she comes back to the table and asks if we are doing ok. I told her my husband was missing his beer. She goes to the bar, grabs it and says "It just came out." We knew that wasn't the case but didn't say anything. Finally our food was delivered but the appetizer didn't make it to the table. We start eating when she shows up with the appetizer (which was a queso.) "It literally just came out," she says. The container, a small iron skillet, was cool to the touch and the cheese had a cold skin on the top. It would have done better for her just to apologize instead of lie not once, but twice.
