Jakes Crab Shack

Had dinner here on Friday May 26th - Memorial Day weekend .. We started with appetizers ... ordered fried calamari - and also added a shrimp appetizer off the specials menu ... both were fantastic! For our dinner, we ordered the "JAKE'S" - which is a platter for 2 - for $130 - and worth every penny of it!!! It includes 2lbs of Alaskan snow crab , along with 8 shrimp, 8 clams, 8 mussels, 2 ears of corn, Yukon potatoes, & 2 Caeser salads. The entire platter was absolutely delicious .. we loved it - big time!! The staff was super friendly & helpful ... Dawn - the manager is great - very nice & cordial .. Our waitress Ashley - was very attentive - and knowledgeable too - she made some good recommendations off the menu - and it was only her 1st night ever working at Jake's Crabhouse! 100% satisfaction ... food & service Will definitely be back multiple times this summer ... no doubt!

It was Saturday evening so we had about a 15 minute wait for a table which was not bad and what they estimated for us. The food was fresh and was delicious, the portions were more than adequate. Pricing more than fair for the portion size. Only issue the wait staff was not attenuative to ask if we needed more drinks. Other than that this was a home run and I will be back for more! It was so good, I will overlook the wait staff not being attentive.

This is the first time we have been. We have been going to the boardwalk for years almost every weekend and never tried this place. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. We walked right in, no wait on a Saturday in August!! The food was delicious. We got the calamari, pretzels, salmon with Broccoli and onion rings and soft shell crab 🦀 sandwich. All these dishes were excellent with very generous portions. It was pretty pricey but well worth it! Try it at least once!

My wife and I checked out this place on a busy evening for dinner. Got in quick. Staff was nice and pleasant. Our waitress Dawn was great, super friendly. My wife had the snow crab clusters, and I had the BBQ bacon cheeseburger both were delicious. We'll be coming back next time we stay at Point Pleasant.
