Grumpy's Restaurant

Came here in a Sunday around 5:30, it wasn't packed but pretty steady. Out waitress was nice but really quiet. The appetizer was served with plastic plates that had grooves in them from knife cuts, which made us feel like they couldn't really be properly sanitized, and also had the feel of a cheap, back yard cookout. We got the stuff mushrooms which were okay, and then two burgers which weren't good enough to finish. Everything was cooked well, just seemed like low quality, very greasy meat and the sides (we had the fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries) were clearly frozen and had absolutely no seasoning at all, not even salt. The single stall ladies room had a paper towel roll on the counter that had a gross, soggy top and middle from everyone needing to touch it with wet hands. The soap dispenser is not properly mounted to the wall, and there were baskets in clear view with random odds and ends in them, mostly what looked like trash. The decor both in the bathroom and dining area was very dusty, with bits hanging from the lighting fixtures and ceiling fans. The window sills next to our table were littered with crumbs and dust. The decor itself is pieced together and not very cohesive. The staff was very friendly and hard working, definitely the best part of our experience, but we would not choose to eat here again.

(Rating 1-5) Presentation Haddock: 0 Portion Haddock: 2 Taste: 2 Review: The haddock was extremely thin; had no flavor. The Haddock originally came with a cracker crumble topping. I did not have the topping due to a dairy allergy. The rice was dry. And zucchini was good, but only received a very small amount. Presentation Chicken: 3 Portion: Chicken 4 Taste: 2 Review: The chicken was dry. Both mashed potatoes and green beans were very very good. Many complaints around the the restaurant about their orders.

One of the greatest restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time! We were seated immediately and given drinks and popcorn before we could blink! The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was unmatched, they were so friendly and fast. I will 100% be returning, they’ve gained a new loyal customer

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!! This was my first time ordering from here and the only reason I chose this place was because of the ratings. I ordered a chipotle bacon burger well done!! With lettuce. The first red flag for me was the lettuce. It literally look like they took the first two pieces off a head of lettuce and slapped it on my sandwich. But whatever I took the lettuce off and bit into my burger to check and see if it was well done like I asked. My burger was pink inside 🤢 and while looking I noticed that I bit into a piece of paper, like the one that separates cheese slices. I’m pretty sure the cooks noticed it and still sent it out. even if they didn’t I’m pretty sure they seen how nasty the burger looked. I’m so disgusted, disappointed and dissatisfied!! ** the white slice on the burger is not cheese it is paper . The cheese is on the side of the burger 🤢🤢

This was my first time dining at Grumpy's and we really enjoyed it! I got the lobster roll with sweet potato fries and it was amazing. My daughter had chicken fingers with fries and it was delicious. All the sides are cooked to order so if you want a veggie without garlic or spice, they can accommodate you. The mashed do have garlic but they offer a baked potato. One family member has a garlic allergy so we were so happy to have great choices. The staff are wonderful and the service is great. Highly recommended, can't wait to go back!

I have heard good things about this place. Sadly though i was mot impressed. It isnt the first time I went there. The first time i was there i was throw out after taking 2 steps into the place. I thought nothing of it cause it was probably cause the person i was with and it was close to last call. But this time the first thing that happened was i got the stink eye from the bartender.i thought nothing of it cause i was there to eat not drink. So we sat down and as you can see by the pictures the floor was not clean and the chairs were falling apart. I honestly dont know why it bothered me so much. But i got the chipotle burger while my friend got the seafood platter. Im not much of a seafood person but she said the only thing wrong was hers was missing the clam strips but they subbed it out with extra fried cod. But my burger was underwhelming. The fries were good but fried a touch too long. And the burger was cooked the way i wanted but there was nothing on there it was a shot of Chipotle a slice of cheese and the burger. There was no mayo or lettuce or tomato just sauce cheese and burger. And there wasnt much sauce to even add flavor to the burger. I dont know if it was cause it was a monday evening or what but i was under whelmed compardd to the rumors and under impressed. I might try it again on a better day. Oh and the rumors say its a great resteraunt and bar. Great for seafood etc etc...
