The Filling Station

Man, this place just keeps getting better. Everything my family and I have tried has been fantastic. The burgers are perfectly grilled and delicious, and the onion rings are among the best I've had anywhere. The shakes are very good, but they're not quite as good as Boomer's although basically everything else puts Boomer's in the shade. New family favorite. Not cheap, but that is clearly due to superior ingredients and focus on consistently high quality.

I love this spot. A local favorite. All of the people who work here are the absolute best. I could really talk about the amazing staff for ever. The Station burger is one of my favorites, the perfect size and so yummy. Also, if you like sauces they've got you covered. Sauce bonanza! One of my go-to's for a yummy, dependable burger and fries.

Just stopped in for a burger, first visit. Cheese Burger Baskets come with a 1/6 or 1/8# fresh grass fed beef patty. Wasn't paying attention otherwise I would have ordered a double meat, but I did get bacon. Nice crispy fried potato curls, over salted for me. Over all not too bad. Other people's plates looked pretty interesting and would probably revisit again to make a better assessment.

It appears to be designed and geared for adults. Prices seem right for what is received. Unique in that it seems to favor the sale of bottled soft drinks over on tap. One of the very very few places that serves Squirt (in a bottles). Service could be better, servers do not think or react beyond what is ordered. Had to be asked for simple items that should be common logic.

I like the atmosphere here a and the waitstaff are great. I've been a few times first had a burger which was great. Last time I had the fish n chips. The description said house batter, didn't say anything about cayenne pepper! I couldn't eat it, was too spicy. They did give me something else to eat but I was disappointed.

Perhaps my expectations for this place were high due to the amazing experiences I've had at the Fairhaven location. However, even with low hopes, I would still have to rate this location poorly. Everything from decor, to the music playing, the service and the food were all complete disappointments. Fairhaven set a high bar for decor, granted. Service? The waitress brought us 2 tiny water glasses with a rinsed glass milk bottle full of water (really not sure how it plays into the decorum). She took our order, and with no one else sitting at tables, cleaned three tables before turning our order in to the kitchen. The wait for our food was timely. The music was an annoying indie pop type playing over the speakers. Our order finally arrived, she forgot our ranch and the drinks we ordered. Our burgers, with zero exaggeration, were about the size of happy meal burgers, dry, zero flavor, with a teeny tiny splat of thousand island dressing on top of a paper thin patty. The fries weren't seasoned but they weren't bad and portion of them was fine. Sodas came in very small sized cups as well. We were quickly ready to leave, had to look for a waitress so we could ask to pay and go. I expected so much more from a Filling Station restaurant. Fairhaven location is amazing for food, ambiance, service, it's a whole experience. Too bad they couldn't duplicate it. I understand small portions however, go and see for yourself, even with children's menu options, everything's served in kid sized portions. And the menu is a simple one page with nothing exciting to offer. It was an overwhelmingly disappointing experience.

Hard to sum it up in just one word, those fried pickles, okay that's three. But the restaurant is definitely earned its name, we were left feeling stuffed for the rest of the day. Full and happy. Nobody should leave those tables hungry. Also the whole theme of the place was definitely worth the drive.
