Izzy's Bagels

Great tasting bagels with tons of different options. They also have house-made cream cheese that are so fresh and compliment the bagels nicely. There are also bagel sandwiches and coffee/tea available for those who want a full breakfast. A dozen bagels of any flavour on Wednesday costs only $6.85!! Two parking spots available right in front of the shopping and more parking available on the side. There are also picnic tables available during the warm days. Definitely a must visit if you’re craving bagels or cream cheese.

I had ignored the hype about this place. I mean how good can a bagel be? It's just a bagel. Well, I was wrong. I've had bagels in Montreal and New York City and Izzy's Bagels live up to the hype. Crisp up when toasted and still so soft and chewy inside. Homemade cream cheese so soft and spreadable. Sorry for the photo. I took a bite before photo and apparently was way to stingy on my own cream cheese. I was trying to make it last, folks. I was trying to make it last. These bagels are so good they don't even need the cream cheese. But you should buy some anyway, you will be glad you did.

Fresh delicious bagels!!! Let's just say we went in to buy a dozen, ate 4 right outside of the store and decided to go back in and buy another dozen. Lots of varieties in addition to the basic, they also have cheddar herb, cheddar jalapeno, french toast, Swiss roll...etc. My favourite is their chocolate chip one!! I can eat them all day long. Highly recommended!

If you are in the Halifax area, don't leave without visiting Izzys Bagel Co on the Bedford Highway. Fantastic bagels made on site. They make fresh bagel sandwiches there, my fave is smoked salmon with scallion cream cheese, red onion and capers. Don't wreck it with tomatoes and lettuce!!! And pickup a down bagels to go. They freeze well. Love ❤️ this place.

Hadn't been here in a few years and glad I made the trip because the first taste of the sesame and poppy bagels was a quick reminder of the quality and flavor of the bagels made by Izzy's. Plus they make their own great cream cheese also. Deal to consider is the 1/2 DOZ and cream cheese combo it's $8 and change, definitely worth it.
