Review El Paisa Cocina Mexicana - Bedford

I came here for dinner tonight, the customer service was alright and so was the food. I bought a popusa, a # 10 Plate, a #7 Chile Relleno and a pineapple Mexican drink (which I would not recommend). The inside of the restaurant looked a little old…. Overall better than fast food. I wouldn’t come here again but definitely good to try. I spent $26 for everything. Solid 2.5/5

My husband and I have always loved eating at paisa but we were so disappointed today, raised their prices AND skimped on the food. There was about 2 scoops of food on the plate and the bell pepper was raw and crunchy. Don’t waste your time

Sad! This place was so good 5 years ago. Now its dirty and just fast food mexican. Breakfast tacos are awful. Menudo is greasy and very poor recipe. Its also very dirty. Service was good.

One of the few authentic Mexican food places that I know of. The food seems to be made from scratch and is absolutely delicious. There are dishes they serve here that I'd never heard of. Of course the Mexican food in Mexico is still a step up, but this is about as good as I've had in the US

Good food! Read some of the reviews before stopping to eat here. All I can say the food is delicious and customer service was great. Loved that the tacos were well served. Proportion of meat and tortilla. Salsas for my taste were spicy. Red salsa was my favorite On my last taco de barbacoa

This place is awesome! I love the breakfast tacos here, only bad thing is never getting a variety of salsa at the drive through, alsways the same 2 and I know they have so many. And there was a bone in my chicken.

My husband & I typically enjoy ANY food we get in ANY restaurant, but this was not the case at El Paisa in Bedford. All our lunch items were luke warm at best, the beef on the nachos had no taste at all, the chips were hard/stale & every item on the combo plate deserves a rating of 2 on a scale of 2-10. Sadly, the only good item was our lemon flavored water. This will be our first & last time! Please don't waste your money at this restaurant.

We live right across the street from this place and we thought this was gonna be our “go too” spot. Unfortunately, it’s not. They’re rude. They just stare you up and down when you walk in, and their food is very mid. Don’t worry though, if you’re white, they’ll make sure to cater to you. If you’re Latino, they look at you like “why are you here” humble yourselves, your food isn’t even good. Will not be going back.

Great Mexican food on the cheap. My family discovered this place on the recommendation of a friend who lived close to the restaurant, and have been going back ever since. To start out with their chips and warm salsa are well worth the $2.50. Their tacos are awesome as well. My favorite is the bistek beef, which reminds me of the tacos I loved in San Diego. The carnitas tacos are also amazing, as are their breakfast tacos. Overall the food is great, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

I really enjoyed this place!!! I don't think I could've asked for better Mexican food for how cheap it was. Rice, beans, tortilla with cheese, 2 chicken flautas and a fajita beef taco with a small drink for under 9 bucks?? Can't beat it. I'll definitely be returning.

Delicious Every Time!. I am a huge fan of El Paisa. I usually use the drive through window and eat at home. I can tell you that the few times I have been in for dinner and once I have been there for breakfast that the dining room is cozy and clean. During breakfast, it was packed!

I have liked everything I have tried. The burritos, the enchiladas and the tacos all rank high on my list. I generally stick with the chicken or pork, but have also enjoyed their other offerings as well. I do wish they offered a fish option, but that doesn't keep me from returning.

Try their chips and queso - fantastic!

Very Good Place to Eat. My daughter, whose review is on this site, invited me to breakfast today. The food was very good and there was lots of it...for a very low price. My entire breakfast, including a very big cup of coffee cost only $3.19. I had a breakfast burrito which was just a little bit smaller than a football, and could barely finish it. My daughter ordered a Torta for my grandson, and it was nearly as big as he was. The building was old, but very clean, including the parking lot and bathrooms. The lady who waited on us was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. I will be back.

Lunch or dinner is awesome. However breakfast is disgusting. The past 2 times I have ordered a breakfast burrito it had lots of egg shells. Definitely a huge turn off!

Very good chicken enchilada plate.Spicy tasty verde sauce on the enchiladas. Fresh, tasty beans and rice. Small, clean and friendly.

Absolutely Wonderful Food!!. El Paisa serves some seriously tasty food. I prefer pork over chicken when it comes to Mexican food, their carnitas and pastor are extremely flavorful and well cooked. Bistec is also quite flavorful, chicken is always well cooked and, in my opinion, lightly seasoned.

Try the sopes at least once if you have never heard of/eaten them. Simply put, sopes are corn "bowls" filled with meat, and some toppings ( basic sandwich or taco toppings).

They also have borracho beans if you prefer. Pozole is served on weekends.

Please, if On The Border is one of your favorite places, DO NOT eat here and take up booth space or make me wait longer to order, El Paisa may not be enough Tex-Mex for you.

Excellent food & value. El Paisa offers a great meal. My favorite thing there are the corn tacos with carnitas. For $1.25 you get a very fresh soft corn tortilla filled with a generous amount of roasted pork that has been perfectly seasoned. You will never go to Taco Bell for a taco again! My husband loves the torta with the same filling - it is basically a sandwich, but on a fresh roll, and only costs $3.50. I am seriously addicted to their food - it is a must try for a casual meal.

Don't be fooled by appearance. Food quality, homemade chips&salsa, price, and service are all fantastic!!!

The food was delicious, and my daughter, who knows these things, informed me it was "Mexican" not "Tex-Mex". Having had most of my Mexican food experiences in Texas, I noticed that the food at El Pais in Bedford, TX, reminded me of what I got in Mexican restaurants in California. A bit lighter but still flavorful. Sometimes the food in "Mexican" restaurants, even the ones I really like, overwhelms me. This was good, simple fare and I completely enjoyed the experience.
