Review Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Bedford

The service was great but the food was horrible. I had to send my food back because the chicken tenders and shrimp combo I ordered were overcooked and tasted like old grease. I told my server and she was extremely apologetic. she said that she would have the. remake my food. She even said that my food was overcooked. Mind you she was not the person that brought our food. I literally sat there and watch my husband eat his food while it took another 30 minutes for them to bring mine. I was so frustrated I told them to cancel the order. that is when the server advised me that they had 1 fryer down. I was hungry and irritated not at my server but at the establishment because they need to step up and fix the problems. It will be a very long time before I return.

Awful food. Everything we ordered was disgusting. The classic burger, the meat patty tasted like it came in a big sack you buy at costco, it also tasted freezer burnt. The cheese fries were baked, I’ve never had cheese fries as disgusting as the ones I ordered. The monte cristo was overly fried. The chips and queso was mediocre. The chips though? Overly fried. It literally tasted like pure oil. I will say that the margarita was god, except the serve didn’t ask if we wanted it on the rocks or frozen. We sadly got it on the rocks and it was overfilled. A lot of it was spilt over my side of the area when the server placed it on the table. I asked for extra napkins but never got any. The butter croissant was really good. My family and I will never ever get food from here again. $60 plus the tip wasted down the drain.

Love coming here! Painkiller is my favorite 🤩with coconut shrimp which I ate before the photo shoot lol… along with the drinks 🍹 🤣!! If your party is over 21 I recommend the bar. It is faster service and the bartenders have always been good to us!

Went to Cheddar’s to get 2 Chicken Fried Chicken double dinners. It was right before closing so they gave me the leftover green beans, and it was a very small portion. The mashed potatoes wasn’t fresh possibly leftovers also! And to top it off, they didn’t give us any gravy! I know it was close to closing but you always give the best customer service from start to finish! Horrible!

Have not been to this restaurant in a couple of years. Today we visited the establishment and had an awesome meal, excellent service and it's strange to say that all the employees seem to work well together and get along like a well-oiled machine. Every waiter that I encountered or watched serve their tables were friendly polite and it actually overwhelmed me. I'm not used to such good service. The bus boy was on top of every table cleaning the table tops and the seats. A young girl came in and threw up in the entryway of the lobby because she had too much heat and they immediately cleaned that up and apologized to everybody and took care of that. While I was there I noticed them wiping off the front door handles and front windows. Again, wow! This place exceeded my expectations and I am very difficult to please! I highly, highly recommend this restaurant for great quality food and great service!!! Unfortunately, I did not get the name of my waitress. However, all the waiters and waitresses I encountered in the restaurant were all professional and extremely courteous and friendly.

The wait time was terrible: we've waited for 40 mins in an empty cafe for a seat. The place is so understaffed, starting from the waiters and ending with the kitchen. One waiter was barking orders at another waiter. We saw kitchen staff walking out from the shift limping from exhaustion. On the positive note. The staff is still superb in their treatment of customers! I don't know how they do! They are so polite, fast on their feet, kind, and professional!! Wow! My lid would have came off from a boiling point long ago if I would have worked there. I do hope the restaurant treats their employees like gold bc that's what they are! Food wise- this is an amazing place! I ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh, it was so good and felt like real home cooking. It was a huge piece of chicken with mash that still had bitable size pieces of potato. The waiter was fast, courteous, professional, and to the point. The food was flying out of the kitchen! Definitely a 5 star!

We had a wonderful server, very thoughtful and intuitive, and she was absolutely on task keeping our drinks filled and checking in to ensure we had anything we could possibly want. Very clean location, comfortably decorated without any kitschy elements, a "casual elegance", if you will. Excellent menu choices and the food really was quite good, the pricing very reasonable.

I go to Cheddar's quite often. Their steak is always very good. They've started giving their honey buttered croissants to every customer and those are spectacular. Our recent visits have been very good. The wait staff have been very friendly and helpful. Do not be concerned if they want to seat you in the bar area if there's just two to four people because the service is great, it's not too loud and really no different than in the main restaurant.

My wife and I eat there often. But today I got the greeter that was awful she said it would be 5 to 10 minutes.  It was more like 15 minutes. Then she wanted to put us downstairs. When we told her we had bad knees. She said she would put us somewhere else. But then she started placing other people that came in after us in places we could have been seated. After waiting a long time I gave up and left. The is the first time the place was almost empty and we had to wait. The food is good! The greeters are not. If I walk in there again and see that pudgy greeter again,  I will leave, it just isn't worth the hassle.

My friends & I have been going to this restaurant twice a month in the evening for over 5 yrs. We like it, the service has been good, and we haven't had to wait very long (5 to 10 min) for our group to be seated. We went last night and I'm assuming they changed managers as we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated & by that time part of our group had left & the manager was stunned that someone would leave. She also complained because we had 10 people. Really??? Our table wasn't clean--sticky & salt was spilt on part of it & we had to ask for it to be cleaned. The food was good, but several of us were shocked at the change. I'm sincerely hoping this was a one time incident!

Great food at a great price!!!. Love this place. Cheap drink and inexpensive yet delicious well portioned meals. 2 thumbs up!!!

I dined in your restaurant today and was very disappointed for the second time. normally the service here is great. but the last few times I've been I have barely received any service at all. My first disappointment was the server was no where to be found. Was here for an hour waiting on food. This time we waited ten minutes for anyone to talk to us. The service was very unpleasant.

Grey Meat. I have been going to Cheddars since I was a teenager with my uncle (that used to be a chef at the same location) and now because of the food I will never return. My boyfriend and I went into the restaurant and then decided to have our food to go. Now I wish we hadn't because when we got home and both cut into our chicken fried steaks the meat was GREY! It didn't even look like steak at all and when we finally got the courage to taste it the meat was sour. The server was very nice and we got our food delivered in to go boxes in a timely manner; so I have no complaints there. Hands down some of the worst food I have ever had. It has taken me two weeks to write a review because I normally don't complain but I am still shocked and disappointed. I will never go back!!!!

There was a bone in my fish. Careless kitchen. I could've been killed. Wasn't even comped. That's what you get from a chain with cheap, uninspired food.

Good, cheap food. If you want to eat out on a budget, this is your place. Almost everything is less than $10/plate. Their alcoholic beverages are awesome. I prefer the Maui Margarita, but their house margarita is also good.

Horrible Service. The food is decent, but on the bland side. I did like the Grown-up Grilled Cheese. But, the service is the pits and our last visit was our last visit there. We did complain about the horrible service to the manager and he offered to comp our meal, but seriously, when the waiter is so spaced out that he has to sit down to take our order and still gets it wrong, never comes back to refill drinks (we did it ourselves), to give us silverware, to give us our ticket...no thanks. There are too many other places that have better food.

The chicken ceasar pasta salad is to die for, I get it every time I go. My neighbors always get the chicken tenders because the breading is better than most places. All I can say for the prices is that the portion size is proportionate to price from what I've seen.

I love cheddars versitile menu. I've also never had bad service there and the atmosphere is very quaint. I want to visit again. ANNDDD the BAKED POTATO SOUP IS AWESOME!

Old fave. Best.croissants.ever.

I have to say that I haven't eaten anything but their Cajun chicken tenders and broccoli cheese casserole, but that is a excellent meal and you get enough food to feed two people. It's def worth a try if you are looking for something cheap and filling!

Descent food. I ate there with some friends from out of town, and it was descent Chill's type food.

Good and affordable. Don't listen to the ham 'n' eggers that don't like it. They're probably a) too high maintenance, b) work at a competing restaurant and trying to sabotage Cheddar's or c) have relatives/friends that work at a competing restaurant and trying to sabotage Cheddar's. Even if none of that is true, I "love"(sarcasm here) how they can't come up with anything to back up what they say. "Food's unimaginative!" What the hell IS imaginative about freaking FOOD?! It's FOOD! You eat it to keep yourself going for crying out loud, humanoids!<br/><br/>Anyway, as for my own review. The food is always good here. Service is always good. Not to mention the croissants, and the cookie monster dessert that's enough for two, maybe even three people to share. Oh, and did I mention the prices? Very reasonable, and cheaper than most places.

Average food. There is nothing special about Cheddar's to me. I would rather not eat here, the food is boring and typical for this type of chain.
