The best Monte Cristo ever! They will prepare it for you at breakfast time, just ask. They might have to turn on the fryer first, worth the wait...yum!
They close at 2 p.m., so the cafe may appear out if business if you drive by after 2:00 p.m.
It seems they have been open since 1943. Loooong time.
Great food in a small town Diner. Really enjoyed stopping there. It is right next to a parking area that allows plenty of parking for RVs, trucks, ATVs and anything needing to park. The food was excellent, comfort food. The service was very friendly and very fast. I would highly recommend a stop. Just two or three minutes off the freeway. It is a lunch and breakfast place, and closes at 2 pm.
You have to stop in here guys! I drive for a living so I like to think I know a good diner, and this place hits all the marks. The burgers and buns are made fresh, the pickles are premium (crisp with a little hint of garlic). The bathrooms were spacious and clean. The waitresses were welcoming and friendly. Give this place a try, you will not be sorry you did.
I like eating here but definitely not an everyday thing, the food is good but is pretty expensive. I got the chicken fingers and they are good, I got 3 pieces some fries and a roll for 12 dollars. Kind of pricey but I understand. My only 2 problems were the wait and my food was a little burned but I understand because you have a lot of people to serve, the staff is super nice and the food is good.
Nice folks. Delicious food. I had a meat omelette so pleasing. Good coffee and soooo cute. I give this a “home cookin” 5🤩
Friendly waitstaff. Everything we ordered was homemade. The biscuits and gravy were tender. The country potatoes were cooked perfectly. The homemade sausage patty was delicious. The cinnamon roll french toast was with every calorie. If I lived here I would come here regularly.
We tried this restaurant while traveling through the area. We were greeting immediately when we walked through the door. We seated and brought some water. The waitress immediately asked for our drink order. I ordered the Clubhouse with extra bacon and my partner ordered the B.L.T. with extra bacon. My Clubhouse was delicious and the B.L.T. was fantastic.
The restaurant was very clean as were the bathrooms. The service was fantastic. Our waitress Rachell was very attentive and friendly. This is a Breakfast and Lunch Café that closes at 2pm. Will definitely return when back in the area.
Sincerely enjoyed this place. The mark of a good burger place is when you can actually taste the beef amidst all of the other condiments on the burger. El Bambi's El Bambi burger fit this description! The fries were okay. The kid's Chicken Finger meal is literal as you only get one chicken finger. Great atmosphere and great staff.
