We celebrated my husband's birthday. Our dinner's consisted of generous portions: salmon in dill sauce, crab stuffed lobster tail, and fried shrimp. Each dinner included salad, soup, choice of potato, vegetable, and dessert. Our server Jen J provided our table with excellent service! Our overall experience was fantastic!

Food is always delicious. Service has always been friendly and attentive. We meet friends here every year to catch up and we both drive over 1 hr to meet up. Never once have we had a bad time. Highly recommend

It has been years since visiting with Lorraine & Denise. The food was amazing. Portions were large sending us home with lunch. Chicken noodle soup was so tasty. Lump crabmeat was outstanding. So good to go back to a place that does not change the quality in service that I always remembered. Looking forward to coming back a lot more.

Very nice place for a special meal with loved ones/friends/business. A nice, but somewhat crowded dining room...bring a sweater in the summer...the AC was a bit too chilly for me. Dinner includes warm bread, soup, salad, entree, starch and vegetables and dessert too! Early bird specials are a great deal and great servers too. Will definitely return again and again

Such a cute, quaint, and intimate dining experience that takes you back with its 20th-century atmosphere and aesthetic, in a good way! The menu has many options for small dining and each entree includes bread (so fresh with a crispy crust!) salad, soup, sides, and dessert. The desserts are homemade and taste so delicious. You will leave feeling satisfied with your full meal and your wallet!

This is one of my go-to places to eat! The food is exceptional. The employees are always helpful with any questions we might have & without asking deliver the kids meals to the table first. They will customize your order to your wants & needs. And best of all, the price can't be beat! Salad, soup, dinner, basic drinks & dessert all included for one low price. I recommend Bear Creek Inne to everyone!

This was our second visit, 2 nights in a row. Visiting briefly from Chesapeake Va. our host here in Wilkes Barre invited us to this rustic spot. Memories of our Ohio hometown Derr Road Inn was clear, first impression, an old style house converted into a family home style dinner. Tonight was just as good as last night, from Delmonico steak to the Salmon, salad, soup, entree, dessert and fresh loaf bread, the final cost for 2 was $40.97! What!! Treated like welcomed family guests, this gem should be plastered all over the food network! Come one come all, make a reservation!!

We go to this restaurant occasionally, but are never disappointed. The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. Service is great. They allow enough time between dishes rather than put everything on the table at once. We highly recommend it

A somewhat fancy restaurant among the casual atmosphere of the Poconos. But the prices and food are better than the casual places. A virtual steal. Many daily specials. This could easily be your regular go-to place. Portions are large. Food was cooked perfectly. Plenty of parking. The salmon, rack of lamb, strip steak all good. However, stay away from the liver. They have great chocolate cake but it is not brought out on the dessert tray, so ask for it.

I was on vacation in Pennsylvania and my cousin recommended this restaurant the turkey dinner was very good our service was fast and friendly Denise did a great job the place was clean and there was plenty of parking but the prices were amazing and owner came out to talk to us and she made us feel welcome I like to thank Marianne Bayo for taking us there.

The food was very good, I had the scallops, they were exceptional, my complements to the chef. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was charming, however it seemed that the windows and the curtains hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, and the bathrooms need a good cleaning, also the grounds and exterior need a bit of work. With all that said, I would still recommend it.

Miss the salad be TBH. Damn that covid...ruined all the good stuff. Food primo deliciouso as usual. Sqished seating between two tables in the bar area. That wasn't too fun though. All the desserts were excellent. Lobster was the best I have had in a very long time. There is a reason why people go here. The food for sure. Very nice server.

The workers are great, especially Jennifer . The food is excellent and it's so worth the price. Went a few times, and I'll go back again soon.

Fantastic, everything is included, soup, salad, entree, dessert, great appetizers, lobster was around 29.00. They had seafood, steak, take a look at their menu online. You get hot break board. Prices are so reasonable. We go to a hole in the wall near our house. Their prices are like 42.00 for lobster! Everything is extra. Dress is casual. Once you've gone you'll go back!!!!!!! Food is fantastic.

So Much Better Than Any Chain Restaurant. The Bear Creek Inn is only about 10 minutes away from the Wyoming Valley Mall straight up Route 115. Just how far away your dining experience will be from any of those chain places (Olive Garden, TGI Fridays, & the like) that you will feel like your on another planet.

You can tell your meal was actually prepared & not produced in a factory, vacuum sealed in plastic, & warmed up like those other places. You will not encounter servers wearing suspenders covered with zany decorations. Nor will you find old road signs nailed to the wall next to pictures of dead celebrities. I'd pay extra just to avoid those trappings of the chains, but at the Bear Creek Inn you don't have to pay more... They are priced comparably to all the franchises, if not cheaper.

The food was good 4 stars out of 5, service was 3, value was a 3, atmosphere was a 3.5, the owner asked us if our visit was an anaversery. That was nice. Concern for an enjoyable evening should be paramount. That's a FIVE! I give this place an overall 4 STARS! They could easily hit 5 stars. They need to give a little more food with a little less butter and not cook the lobster so long(slightly overdone). It was still very good. * * * * STARS !

A great place to dine.. This review is for the restaurant.
My family has been going here for special occasions for many years now and the Bear Creek Inne almost never disappoints. The early bird specials are the best valued items and most regular menu selections have a fair price ($13.50-$29.95). All your entrees include soup, salad bar, and a desert. The service is competent and the atmosphere is pleasing.
Food = 3.5/5 (great)
Price = 3.5/5 (fair)
Service = 3.5/5 (proficient)
Atmosphere = 3.5/5 (pleasant)
Overall = 3.5 out of 5 stars
