Review Landmark Restaurant At Old Rittenhouse Inn - Bayfield

The food at the Inn is delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We started off with the Crostini and Moscato. For the main entree we ordered the Linguini Del Mar and Seared Duck and the food was exceptional. But the star of this dinner was the creme brûlée and we will definitely be back for the food. We were just disappointed that we were unable to book a room at the inn to get the entire experience and next time we’ll get book the room in advance to have the entire experience. I would definitely recommend my friends to visit the inn as it had a homey feeling with 5-star dining experience.

This was another great experience. Great found, ambience and service. Will go back!! The Rittenhouse is a must eat at renovated mansion. Get reservations well ahead if time. They are that good! 👍

We had our first dinner inside a restaurant since COVID hit. So good! Excellent service! Great safety practices. We had mussels, roast duck and a seafood fettuccini.

Disappointed in the food we had for our dinner after reading all the positive reviews. Our server Ashley was not very friendly either which didn’t help the experience. We wish we went elsewhere for our 5th anniversary dinner. Expected more from a fine dining establishment.

Our server Lance was awesome. He knew classic service from beginning to end. Scallops were delicious and dessert Sunday Carmel sauce was the best. All of this in an old mansion with some original fixtures. Well worth the money!

This is a beautiful place to stay. It could even rate as a centerpiece of the town. The staff was friendly and breakfast was outstanding. Any time we had questions about the town, everyone seemed to know the details and able to point us in the right direction. Thank you for making our trip outstanding!

Stayed for a night during our honeymoon in room 11 of the main house. It was the most luxurious hotel experience I've ever had! Truly something I'll always remember & cherish! The staff was friendly, personable & helpful & you could tell they valued top notch customer service (thank you Julie!). Highly recommend!!!

It was the Most relaxing get away I've had. Very homey feel about the rooms! The food was amazing!!! So many little touches that put this place above all. From the music, to the books, to the art on the walls. Definitely gave that step back in time feel! Hoping next time the weather will be better that we can sit out on the wicker furniture on the grand porch with a glass of wine and take in the views of Bayfield and the Islands♡♡♡ Thank You Sooooo Much to the Phillips Family and their staff!!!

Loved it! We used a gift card from our wedding to experience our first B&B. Delicious food and marvelous hospitality. I would definitely recommend this to anyone searching for the ultimate B&B experience! Thank you to all the staff at the Rittenhouse! :)

Dinner here was amazing thanks in part to exceptional food. However, the best part of dinner was the ambience of the inn and the top-notch service... most especially that of our well-informed waiter Lance! He even offered to take our picture on the veranda while the sun was setting. Overall a great experience.

This amazing inn has so much character and charm. Our room was stunning, comfortable, and clean (#11). Plenty of hot water for the whirlpool tub and the scented bath salts were an added bonus. We were there for our 2nd New Years Eve stay. Jennifer at the front desk was very helpful when we asked about the history and where to go outside of the Inn. I especially loved having Julie as our server- she is simply fantastic! The way she describes the food is a mini theater performance and adds so much to the experience. The food is absolutely delicious! The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a mini fridge in the room. We love Old Rittenhouse Inn and look forward to our next visit!

We were lucky enough to scoop up the last reservation of the evening on October 7. So glad we did! The food was awesome as was our overall experience at this wonderful establishment. if you have never been here it's past time you gave it a try, you won't be sorry.

Stellar service, food & amenities. Our host & hostess made us feel very welcome immediately! Quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place to curl up with a book. Le Château Boutin is an absolutely captivating place to spend a few days.

This is a special event restaurant - we were there for our 20th anniversary. It was pricey, but the best meal we had in a couple of years. Our young waiter from Uzbekistan was amazing.

What can i say. This place was part of my honeymoon, the place I brought my family to spend our last Christmas together before my divorce. It is the place I returned to several times subsequently alone to sort out my troubles. And it is the first place I brought my 86 year old Father after he miraculously recovered from a huge heart operation. If you want to go to a place where the owners care, truly care about helping you unwind and rediscover the beauties of life then The Rittenhouse Inn in Bayfield Wisconsin is the place for you. A highly romantic place, I have learned in the twenty plus years of migrating back to this oasis of gentility and kindness that romance in such a place is optional. You will love no matter what as long as you wish to take the time to relax there and dream of living in the Era of the true "Gay 90's".

The Rittenhouse has been a family favorite since it first opened. The food is always superb! One of the best Inns in the State. I have always recommended dinner here to anyone who visits bayfield. The fact that it is a quaint, comfortable B&B is a bonus too !!

The must see destination for anyone who is visiting the Bayfield Wisconsin area! Lovely relaxing and romantic rooms with 5 dining. Short walk to the sites and shops of Bayfield too. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a wonderful mini moon at the Rittenhouse! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Also the breakfast was amazing! Best food in town!

The summer squash soup with local mushrooms was soooooo good! Lance, our waiter was personable and enthusiastic about the food served.
