Lumber Barons And Stables

This bar became my home away from home in March of 2021. I've seen its ups. I've seen its downs. This bar has so much potential to be the night club that Bay City needs. The issue is in today's world it seems that the only people that want to be a bartender are the people that want to do nothing and get paid for it. So they see a lot of bartenders come and go once they get told they actually have to work for their money. I know the manager is struggling. But she loves that bar and she needs your support. Bring your business to this bar and watch this bar return to its former glory! Oh, I forgot to mention the Line Dancing that they have every Wednesday!

Had a blast. Live band was great, drinks were Great and the crowd was great. This place is like 4 bars in one. We spent most of our time in the back "Stable". This place was an actual old stable that they jave converted into a bar. So one of the coolist features is the old Stables which are now seating areas. The middle part of the place is a "Fire Bar" and the front is a brew Pub. Live music 5 days a week, "Slick Jimmy" was playing the nighr we were there. They played great 80-90 rock and we danced the night away.

If I could give more starts I would, Iv never been a person who reviews establishments.Or does much online the banquet manager went way above and beyond for our banquet party. The least I could do is share how wonderful they did. A few servers called in leaving them last min short handed. Yet our food for 100+ was set out on time,Dirty plates attended to instantly,dessert plates ready on our table,and everything started on time. There was no service at the buffet, watching portions one table didn’t get salads. The manager Courtney was extremely apologetic and corrected it.They had the upstairs decorated so pretty and clean I can only imagine what they do for weddings. It was nice to see this young manager work so hard serving,cleaning,filling drinks, engaging with guest right along with her staff. Great Job Lumber Barron’s!

Used to be the best place in Bay City to get a drink and a smoke... Since Covid and Management change it's gone from the jewel of Midland St. to a definate walk by. Third rate entertainment at best, sans Thursday. On Thursday they have a live band come in always the same band, deeply dependent on back tracks. Sound is good though. You'll be lucky if they have your cigars ordered, I've been waiting three weeks for my favorite brand. Booze is the same way they won't reorder for a week or 4 after they run out.

If I could, I would have this be a zero. I love this place, but over the last few years the quality of the drinks have drastically declined. My family and I go to the stables often, I'd say over the last 10 years. My experience last night was horrible. Not only did we wait 30 minutes for our drinks, our drinks were terrible. The red laced panty martini is suppose to have raspberry puree in it, it didn't last night. They put way too much strawberry syrup in the glass, and too much cream. The cream was not shaken with the rest of the drink and curdled. It was undrinkable. Both my wife and I didn't finish our drinks. My sister had the Godfather and said that it was nothing like it use to be. Terrible experience, terrible drinks.
