Review Wildwood Pizza - Baton Rouge

Got our pizzas to go. Wasn't too busy when we got there and took about 10 minutes to get our pizzas. I got Hit The Quan and my wife got a gluten free Kickin' Chicken. Both had a good flavor, but mine was room temp by the time we got home (took 5 minutes to get home). Would definitely try again.

Pizzas were pretty good, but didn’t realize this was a blaze/lit pizza kind of place. We had a coupon we didn’t know was expired. Not a big deal, we were ok with paying $20 for two pizzas. As soon as I said we have a coupon a bunch of people from the kitchen screamed, “It’s expired!!” Was kind of strange. Then we asked if we could get our soda in a take home plastic cup with their logo on it instead of styrofoam. Girl mumbled something about a magazine. Just strange, this was obviously our first time here, just let us buy a cup. The sign says $9 for a pizza with 6 toppings (cheese and sauce is a topping). Then asked for two cheeses, but that was extra, something else weird. Just an unusual experience. I will probably not return.

What a great pizza! This place is next to Rouse's on Airline at Antioch near Long Farm. I got the big bad wolf. It had a thin crust with fresh quality ingredients! The crust had a good chew. Check it out next time you are in that area!

Tried this place out today so see if I can find a new favorite pizza place that is closer. (Lit is my current favorite). Price is ok but the wait was too long. 20 min plus and there was no line when i walked in but I will mark that up to being new. The 1 star came from the pizza itself. By far the worst looking pizza I have ever seen. Only the very center of the pizza had toppings and even that didn't taste all that great. This one was Porky's revenge: Mozzarella, pulled pork, caramelized onion, bell pepper, smoked cheddar, and BBQ sauce. The description sounded way better than it looked. Hopefully this is not the norm but I doubt I will be back to test that out.

I went to Wildwood pizza for the first time the other day. I was pleasantly surprised. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how impeccably clean it was. I didn't see so much as a stray straw paper on the floor. The tables were all shining and the chairs were spotless. The kitchen area has a large open window and door area. You can see right through. It was immaculate. There wasn't even a dusting of flour on the floor. The staff worked like a well oiled machine. They were exceedingly polite. My sister informed them the Dr. Pepper was out and it was changed out in less than five minutes. They communicated well there with their manager. You would expect a restaurant with an exposed kitchen to be at least a little noisy but it wasn't. To say I was beyond impressed is an understatement. Finally, the food was perfect. I enjoyed the thinness and crispness of the dough. It still was able to tear and be chewy. They put copious amounts of cheese and a good amount of toppings. I couldn't finish mine, but most who were with me did. I liked that I was able to get ingredients without an upcharge. Most the ingredients I got are considered premium at other places. All in all, my family and I were extremely satisfied. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Nice ambiance but poorly designed creations and poorly priced pizzas with barely any ingredients and cheese. Wildwood needs to do better if they want to compete with Lit Pizza.

The owners greeted us cheerfully good reception. The service was quick for some. (I didn't hear my name called) I ordered two pepperoni pizzas and two Mediterranean. It was different than what I was accustomed to. I normally eat the Pacific Veggie (Domino's) Which is what I compared it two. They have a great oven really traditional. I tried the pepperoni the sauce was very traditional. I like my sauce not as tart as it was. But a good place to try out!

I really like this pizza spot. We stop in on occasion. The staff is always friendly and they get the pizzas out quickly. My only suggestion is the crust be tweaked a little. It tastes like there is something missing. Other than that, the pizza is quite delicious! The crust is thin but still soft. The toppings and sauce are great. And, I prefer to get the fresh mozzarella on mine.
