Lousy food. Shanghai Place has a good variety, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. The sushi sits out all day, and by evening it is getting dry and falls apart. Apparently they don't remove the old after a set time period and replace it with fresh. The wasabi is nothing but horseradish with food coloring, and maybe just a little sugar (seemed to have just a touch of sweetness). The Mongolian BBQ lacks any seasoning that I could detect, and the beef strips were so tough that I could barely chew them.<br/><br/>If you're more interested in quantity than quality, then maybe you can get your money's worth. But taste-wise, there is much better fare to be had.

The place is clean and has a variaty of foods to choose from. Unfortunately, the food was poor quality. Most of the food tastes over cooked and dried out. Almost like yesterdays food. The sushi was mostly dried out. The rice on the sushi was hard and some of it was crunchy. Definatly wont be returning.

Very Good. We go to Shanghai Place just about once a week and the food is great for the price. It has the usual buffet items in addition to sushi, dumplings, and a habachi grill. The sushi is pretty good for the price, but nothing special. The rest of the buffet is always hot and delcious. Try the Hot Pepper Chicken, its fantastic.

The service was terrible. The food was sub-par. The management ask for tips. They profile customers of different ethnicities.

Food was great. Well seasoned without being salty. Lots of choices. Couldn't believe the price for such a great meal. Don't let the exterior fool you.

Great food at a good price. First time to try Shanghai Place. The restaurant looks old on the outside, but it is nice on the inside. The food was delicious! They had a nice selection of food on the buffet along with some sushi rolls which were tasty. Staff very nice and friendly. Price for my meal and drink was $10.85. It was worth it for me.<br/><br/>Will I go back? YES!!<br/><br/>Give them a try. I think you will be pleased.
