Review Spanish Moon - Baton Rouge

Adam Broxson
Awesome place for a concert. Small and intimate, so much better than an arena. Even going to get a beer, you're no more than 20 feet from the stage. The upstairs has it's own bar, pool tables and a balcony that offers a great view of the stage. The beer selection could be better, but the prices were decent. I had a great time and look forward to returning sometime.

The Spanish Moon is a decent dive bar in Baton Rouge. The bartenders and doormen are polite and usually pretty quick with their work. Drinks are always enjoyable here. The building need some renovations, but it is what it is. This is probably the best place to see shows in Baton Rouge, but the crowds are hit or miss, usually miss (not the venue's fault). Parking is sparse and can be sketchy at times, so get their early for a good spot and enjoy yourself!

This venue is great. The staff is incredible. Ms. Robin in particular is a very lovely person.

Very cool venue for baton rouge. Fun place to hang out and drink as well. Pretty grungy, but in a good way. Five stars because its pretty unique in BR and is more fun to see shows here than at the Varsity.

Wednesday karaoke at Spanish Moon is awesome! It's only a $5 cover with free wells and domestics from 8:00 - 9:00. The song selection is fantastic and the best part is you get to sing on an actual stage with a pretty good sound system. Very positive vibes and a whole lot of fun.

The band was awesome, but the place smelled and the service was very slow.

The only reason for going is to see the band you like play live. The building is old and unique, good place to see a band play. There is not many places to seat, so if you need to sit get there early, the staff is ok.

One of the oldest current running original live music venues in BR, acts such as Melvins, Wesley Willis, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Fishbone, and countless other national acts play here regularly. Plus great local bands, friendly regulars and staff. One of my all time favorite bars in Baton Rouge.
