Wonderful place to eat we try to eat here when we come to Baton Rouge or passing through. The Lamb Vindaloo is amazing. You have to try the Samosa’s absolutely delicious. Price was reasonable and service is excellent. Highly recommend eating here.
Always phenomenal. Everyone is so nice here! I have had so many dishes, and all of them are absolutely wonderful! My favorite is the special chicken biryani and the chili paneer. You've gotta try it all though! Don't sleep on Swagat!
I’m not entirely familiar with traditional Indian cuisine but I’ve ordered from here many times and it has always been absolutely delightful. I tend to order “Indian spicy” (aka, level 4) goat vindaloo and lamb vindaloo. It packs a punch that makes me pant, but I can’t help myself.
My friend often gets the chicken curry and loves it as well.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in the entire state. I’d highly recommend the vindaloo for those that like some heat.
Ordered take out and we loved it. Had a variety of dishes, appetizers and dessert and everything tasted delicious! Ordered the regular spice level. I like spicy food, and regular was still a little spicy for me, will probably go with mild next time. The price was very good as well. Ordered from other Indian restaurants in the area, and didn't receive as much food for the price we paid. Will definitely come here again to satiate my cravings for Indian cuisine.
We've been here twice at this point. Both times the food was excellent, but both times most of the people providing service have been lukewarm, verging on somewhat inattentive. My usual technique, once realizing we're experiencing mediocre hospitality, is to try to win them over with extra-strength kindness, but to no avail ... they're just too grumpy. To say please, thank you and to give complements illicit no responses. We may come back - there are a couple of dishes that are unique to here that make enduring their attitudes almost worth it, but we are most likely going to try other places. We come for the experience and great food - not a helping of cold fish.
The entire experience was great! Delicious food and excellent service made this a wonderful experience 😁 We had the lobster and rack of lamb both were very tasty and seasoned to perfection! The bread was so light and tasty. Prices are very reasonable and service top notch! Enjoyed every bite!😋 make this a must try spot!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I've been here three times since moving here and it has always stayed consistently good. I haven't really explored the menu as I'm new to indian cuisine but the Tikka chicken masala and butter chicken is lovely. I always enjoy the complimentary naan. Other indian restaurants usually charge for the plain naan.
