Review Nine Dragon Noodle House - Baton Rouge

Soft shell crab is so damn good.. I don't know what seasoning is used but I need it because this is the best I've tasted. I would recommend for all those seafood lovers to try it.. It only took about 15 mins and it was worth the wait.. I was being greedy so I ate it hot and didn't wait for it to cool..the juice that oozes out of it while biting is so good and satisfying.

It was so good! The food was so fresh we got the fried oysters and chicken wings. I don't eat oyster but my boyfriend said it was some of the best he has had since we moved to baton rouge. The fried octopus balls A2 were so good we got a second one to go. The food tasted really clean and home made. Price was great too!

My wife went in and ordered a chicken tender basket and a combo basket for takeout. When we got home we found it was wrong. The receipt on the bag matched what we received, a shrimp basket and chicken tender basket. So either they took our order wrong or gave us someone elses order. Plus there were egg rolls on the receipt that were not in the bag so they screwed that up. Food was average. Canes has better chicken tenders, sauce was boring. Shrimp were basic frozen and fried. Baskets also did not have pickles and bread as advertised.

My Order was the Nashville HOT chicken. I ordered the medium HEAT it had no heat to it at ALL .. my tenders tasted like a regular batch of tenders that was disappointing...FYI if ya want heat ask before placing your order... because their spice is not louisiana spice! Overall the tenders were battered good but I gave the plate away.

I came to get food here after another restaurant messed up my food. I love their food here its always so hot and delicious. The flavor on their fries and fish is so great! I would definitely recommend 9 Drangon if you are looking for great seafood! Update: The saff here is amazing and caring. The waitress was super friendly and very quick about getting us refills and anything we needed. The food was hot and fresh! I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for hot and fresh seafood!

It doesn't look much from the outside, and the decor is pretty generic when you come inside, but your first glance at the menu will give you a clue that this is not your standard local Chinese restaurant: There are some very non-standard dishes on offer. The food lives up to the menu - it is delicately flavoured or unctuous and rich, all in the right places. I'm genuinely impressed. The service was ok, although the noodle soups arrived rather after the rice and noodle dishes. However, the food more than made up for any failings elsewhere. I will definitely be back.

9 Dragon Noodle is next to Neighborhood Walmart. First time here... the flavor was ok. Nothing spectacular. The Ramen could use a little more flavor. The MO PO Tofu was decent and the beef chow fun had a great taste. The Thai Lettuce wrap, I was turned off by that with the overwhelming taste of red and green bell peppers, I could tell I was going to experience heart experience with each bit I took. Overall the visit was decent nothing too special. The restaurant was clean. Maybe I will try again in the future .

I thought this place was only a Chinese restaurant! Boy was I wrong. The seafood boil in a bag is incredible. It’s a nice touch that they include gloves in the to go orders.I love that. The flavor was good, and the best part is it stays hot until you get home. It makes sense they are reorganizing. 5 star!

We love the food at this restaurant!! Everyone in my family is happy when we have 9 Dragon. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The service is quick and precise. General Tso's chicken is excellent, hot-n-sour soup, lettuce wraps, lo-mein, ALL YUMMY!!!!

Been eating here for years and have always enjoyed it. Tried the lettuce wraps for the first time today and they are to die for!!!!! Very sweet and wonderful staff.

Had lunch here, its kind of a pan asian menu, Korean, Japanese, Chinese. They had takoyaki "Octopus balls," which is a staple most Japanese bar and grill type restaurants in Japan. I haven't seen it since I've come back to the states, so many so called "Japanese," restaurants around now that don't serve regular food that is delicious and common in Japan it was nice to see it on the menu. But anyway the version here was good, the bowl of roasted duck ramen I had was good as well. The service was fast and friendly overall a very good lunch.

Wow! Never expected to find such authentic cuisine in a strip mall next to a WalMart. Get the Shrimp Cho Me Fun. Delicious. The shrimp fried rice is also wonderful. Think we found our new favorite Chinese restaurant in Baton Rouge.

I had the best bowl of ramen. I just got the marinated pork bowl and I finished it all. Large portions too! I was my expecting to finish this bowl but it was just too good.

1st time here.. Very good! Had the small Cucumber appetizer, Oxtail Soup, and Beef in Oyster sauce. Very fresh tasting, lots of flavor, perfectly cooked and presented. My date had the Chicken Pad Thai and she very much enjoyed it. Service was friendly and food was quick to serve. Decently priced as well. Will definitely be back again!!

The Bibimbop is fantastic! VEGETARIAN LIFEHACK!!!. I cannot rave about 9Dragon enough (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH NINE DRAGON WHICH IS TERRIBLE!) Their service is superb, and the breadth of their menu is fantastic. It is the only place in town to find decent Korean. The dolsot bibimbop is some of the best I have ever had- ask for extra kimchi- vegetarians can order it with just vegetables and tofu even though it isnt on the menu. The udon noodle bowls are massive and complex in flavor. All the portions are generous. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up, fine holiday fun.

Don't get the sweet and sour chicken. I'm not sure how their other foods are, but the orange chicken was the size of a chicken tender and i had to pour my own sauce on it. i prefer my sauce cooked in with the meat. not going there again.

YAAAS!! This is going to be my go-to!. The outside is misleading, the inside is causal but inviting.
It's simple decor but it's nice all the same.
The Menu isn't basic but it's not overly complicated, I was surprised to see some items on there, and the prices are really really good!

My boyfriend and I stopped in last night to give it a shot, we both ordered a bowl of Ramen (Roasted Pork and Roasted Duck ), an appetizer of the Octopus Balls (Takoyaki essentially something I NEVER see around here) and 2 Soda's, total was $28, that is a steal considering this ramen filled both of us up completely.

The pork broth was flavorfull, rich, and the meat was prefectly cooked, the noodles were excellent.
I got to try some of his Roasted Duck Ramen and the broth was even more flavorful then mine and excellent, he said the duck was perfect!

Seriously this place is a surprising win, I plan to go there as much as I can!

Take-out. Ordered take-out
1.beef flank ramon noodle soup - The meat was questionable as I was assuming I would be getting flank steak, but instead it looked like some type of cartilage or tongue, very peculiar and not appetizing. The broth was also questionable as it smelled like citrus but tasted sort-of soapy. Not sure if traditional ramon noodles are supposed to taste like this, however it was not good to me.
2. general tso's chicken - normal chinese take-out. The sauce was sweet, spicy. Meat was questionable once again.
3. fried rice - the fried rice had a nice taste, however it seemed to be an old batch, and was a little chewy.

Overall, will not eat food from here again.

Im black...i dont go around looking for racisim but i couldnt help but feel a bit discriminated against. When i sat in this establishment for 35 minutes and didnt recieve a single ounce of service. I paid for my food just like everyone else....i actually finished my drink as my food came out...i was not offered a refill. There was only 3 other tables with patrons. They all got serviced frequently. The waitress made and broke eye contact with me several times so it was not like she was oblivious to our presence. obviously i didnt leave a tip, but it was not because im black. I know what its like to live off tips so im usually more than generous...but if you dont serve me at all,,, well ill show you just how real that sterotype can be....ill probably eat here again because the food was good....hopefully this time was a fluke....oh and btw i dont look it but im half chinese

Best Chinese in BR. Omi used to be my favorite, but 9 Dragon Noodle House has now taken the top spot. I'm actually not a fan of their ramen or noodle soups, but their hot and sour soup is the best in town. I love their Szechuan and Chinese dishes, such as the Amazing Chicken, Dry Fried Spicy Beef, Singapore Chicken, Double-cooked pork, Stewed pork with salted vegetables, sauteed pig liver, crab with ginger and scallions, and Mongolian Beef, among others. Their fried rice is awesome, too.

Friendly service and great food at a great price!

Great Chinese food. A nice change from the usual Baton Rouge Chinese food. Excellent soups.

Different. Not your average Chinese restaurant. It is different. I had the beef ramen soup. Definitely not your ramen that you get at the store. I look forward to trying some of the other menu items. It's not expensive and definitely worth a shot.

Love it!. Tried for the first time today. Everything we had was good. The guys working were really nice and made great suggestions.

Ramen noodle is excellent . I am native Japanese and 9 Dragon noodle Ramen is the closest I've had since I was in japan .

Granted it's a Chinese restaurant and I hadddd to go order the Korean bibimbap..not worth it! Didn't give me the shiitake mushrooms, bean sprouts, kimchi orrr the carrot strips. they did give me carrots but it was like the sliced sautéed carrots which makes a textural difference.. I like biting into the crunchiness of bibimbap veggies but this just tasted like egg fried rice with I unmarinated beef on top:(

Good food, good service. We ordered General Tso's chicken, home made pork in soy sauce (the pork was pork belly) and wonton soup. All were good both in taste and size. The servers were polite and attentive. Overall we had a great time and will be returning to this place!

Yummy, Inexpensive, and Unique. We stopped by this place just to try it out. As fans of the original 9 dragon we were expecting something pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the menu and the unique items on the menu. It was not your standard chinese restaurant menu. Overall, good food and great prices. Plus, there's so many new things try. They were still working out some kinks in the service, but we'll be back soon!

Good new restaurant. While I liked the Chinese takeout formerly available at this location, 9 Dragon Noodle House is a nice addition to the local dining options. I enjoyed a dinner of soup, salad, and bibimbap; both the food & service were good, and the portions were large & more than satisfying. I look forward to my next visit in the very near future.
