Review Red Robin Gourmet Burgers - Baton Rouge

Reka the Travelnista
Finally remembered to try the Red Robin by the mall, and it was pretty tasty. Service: polite, could've been a little quicker since there were barely any guests, but it was shift change. Venue: decent- could've been a little cleaner and fresher Food quality: the veggies in the burger are fresh an the burger patty was well-seasoned. The presentation blew me away. The burger could've been on a commercial. Bottomless steak fries: what else is there to say? The onion rings aren't bottomless, but who cares when they're that scrumptious. Plus, you can steal fries from others since they're bottomless. The star: the new cheese dip is a vibe. I could easily eat that on pretty much anything, and cup for $1.99? Heck, yes. Cocktails: Margarita was yummy and spirited. Verdict: I'll be back.

Ok burgers for a chain, overall good but the service was at best average, they are definitely short staffed and some of the items on the menu was not available. The burger looked like it was thrown together by a 10 year old in the back.....

The food at Red Robin is very good. I love their steak fries and their burgers, and their lemonade drinks are wonderful. Unfortunately, it's the service that drips this restaurant so far down on the list for us. This last time, my two daughters received their food long before I got mine. So long before that they were nearly done when my chicken sandwich came out. We also had to stop someone random (not our server) to get napkins brought out after our food was finally out, and to get condiments for my sandwich. This is the second time we've had a similar experience here. If they could bring service up to the level of their food, we'd have a real winner!

food was good, server was a bit all over the place when we went though. she kept forgetting our drinks. the rest of it was good though. the garlic fries are amazing.

Horrible service, had to get up to get my own refill, fries were cold. Waitress had attitude... Worst place to go on Valentine's Day night..

Decent food! Took a while for our waitress to serve us, but she was excellent! Overall, a good experience!

I hate to give them 3 stars because I enjoy Red Robin's food. All around, it was delicious. My family loved all of their meals. But it was the service that needed work. The place was not packed. There may have been 3 or 4 other parties in the restaurant, and from what I could see 4 waitresses. But service was slow and we were rarely checked on. Drinks and endless fries refills were few and far between because we could barely get anyone's attention. And then they messed up the bill. Overcharging us for our meal.

We went in with two girls' soccer teams and parents. The wait staff handled it very well. The food was on point as usual. The orders took a little longer to get out due to the size of the crowd. However, Rachel kept our drinks full and checked on us often. Great job!

Nah look here, I've been to this here Red Robin about 10 or so times. I haven't had this bad of an experience since me and my ex wife's honeymoon. But that's anutter story. Waiter was not a good one. He kept tryin to shove dem steak fries on us repeatedly. No steak was even involved in dem. Also the waiter seemed more jittery than a crackhead listenin to rap music with police sirens in it. Burger was okay, my egg wasn't even cooked at all. No name mentioning here but Overalls I'd come back as long as I don't get seated in Aaron's section.

Maybe just a year old and already looking a little run down, floor (yucky carpet) was filthy. Hostess was not thrilled to seat us and then sat us next to people and a dirty table when half the restaurant was empty, we asked if we could sit somewhere else, she replied "you'll have to wait". food was OK, $7 spinach dip was good but small portion. Burger was good. prob will not go back, if I do, I won't have high expectations

I was so disappointed, as were the other two in my party. To have waited so long for Red Robin to open here, then go in expecting a phenomenal experience, only to end up with mediocre at best... I'd rather not. Will not go back.

Anytime a restaurant opens near the mall, the first few months are shaky. They seem to have major issues finding and keeping a quality staff. This establishment is no different. Chipped beer mugs, wrong orders followed by a change in servers in the middle of the meal all made this and a following trip my last. :( I was hoping this would be a great new addition to the mall circle.

Rather darkly decorated, not as family friendly as others we have visited. What's with having to join the rewards program to get the 'Military Discount", like the government doesn't track me enough.
Anyway, hostess didn't seem bothered by the fact that at 5 in afternoon there was still a 20 min wait for a table, at a restaurant that was 1/4 to 1/2 capacity.
An hour and a few minutes later, after being seated, we got our cold frys and lukewarm food. Awesome. Not coming back.
There's a great pizza place next door. Save your time and spend your money there.

Loved it!!! Will definitely return. Seated as soon as we entered but waiting for the entree' was an over 30 min wait (but it was a busy Saturday afternoon). Loved the freckled lemonade and free refills also loved the queso and the bottomless fries!! Nice addition to BR.

After living in Houston for six years, I had my share of good red robin burgers. But - After my first visit to the Baton Rouge location, I vowed to Never ever return. It was awful. However, I decided to give them one more chance and cash in my free birthday burger. I was pleasantly surprised. Service was phenomenal. Speedy and delicious. The restaurant manager stopped by as well to ensure all was to my liking. Great job turning things around. I can't wait to return again!

Not My Red Robin. Having grown up in California on Red Robin, I was excited to see this one go in Baton Rouge. Tried 3 times. HORRIBLE service and the food tastes awful. Never. Ever. Again.

Slowest Service in Town. Service at Red Robin Baton Rouge is deplorable. Is the problem in the kitchen or with the wait staff? Who knows. But each time I went there I waited much to long after being seated. Last time it took 20 minutes before our waitress even visited our table for the first time. Tired of waiting- not going back.

Honestly when we went last Sunday it was a hot mess the wait times were way too long with 12 open tables and when we finally got sat our food took WAY too long. The waitress was very pleasant and did everything right. My Burger came out wrong after over 40 mins of waiting and called the Manager to the table and showed him the burger was wrong and he said he will be back in a minute and never came back. SMH. The server helped me out thankfully. It will probably be the last time we go get a burger from yall. I can get better food at the BJ's right next to yall

Service and management. Im a former employee and thought it was going to be a great place to work at but little did I know the food isn't freshly made its all frozen food and just cooked or fried... Guest having to wait 30-40 mins on food to come out... Management making servers lie to the tables... When people ask for the burgers to be cut in half they won't cut it bc they said they have knives on the tables and food always comes out wrong... The so called fresh strawberries are frozen and defrosted... The kitchen people that cook the food have sweat dripping on the food... It is honestly gross I would avoid eating there... The freckled fruit stays in pans for days and they still serve it...

$10 for a frozen fast food party is a bit much. Horrible. Won't be back. Service is awful too. Good luck getting those bottomless fries. You'll wait 15 minutes just to get a refill.

Enjoyed the experience. I like the bleu ribbon burger. I didn't like that they don't ask if the high top tables were okay with the patrons. High top tables hurt my hips, but both times we went, we were seated there. The first time I requested another table without a problem. The second time would have been a longer wait so we sat there. While sitting there, we saw numerous couples that said they didn't want high top and got another table.

Happy to have in the BR. Finally let some of the hype die down and went on a Friday night. We were seated in about 15 minutes, despite how busy it was. I got the A1 burger and my hubby got the royal red robin. Both burgers were very flavorful. I loved the steak fries and the fact that they are "bottomless" though I didnt need any more than I got. We also got the pretzel bites for an appetizer which were delicious in itself, but i didnt care for the cheese. Our server was attentive to our drink needs and overall we were quite pleased.

I've been annoyed for 2-3 years that they are playing Red Robin commercials in our market when we had no Red Robin to go to. How long were they going to wait? Alas, it has FINALLY arrived. Based on the commercials, I had the impression that it was more on the fast food spectrum than a full service restaurant, but it turned out it was a full service restaurant with a full bar. We were seated quickly in cool red leather (or vinyl) chairs in a modern-style dining room, which we thought was very nice. The hostess asked me (age 37) and my daughter (age 13, since last week), if we were both over 21. I guess she wanted to know if she could seat us in the bar area, but her age perception was way off. Our server was very nice and greeted us pretty quickly. We both asked for water with lemon, and received water without lemon. After taking our order she asked if we needed anything else, and we asked for lemon again. She said "Sure, I'll get that for you." We never got our lemon. For the menu prices, I expected the burgers to be spectacular and big. Our food was ready very quickly, but we were not impressed upon initial sight of our burgers. The burgers looked like fast-food burgers. I got the Chili Chili burger, and upon first bite, I was impressed. It was very tasty. It had the flame broiled flavor, and the chili was delicious. The menu said it was served open-face and I'd need an extra napkin, so I expected to need a fork and knife to eat it. It was not served open face and the chili was not even dripping out. I ate it with my hands without an extra napkin. The main disappointment with this burger was that the cheddar cheese was just a tiny pinch - not even enough to taste. I will probably order extra cheese next time. My daughter got a classic cheeseburger and liked it. She did not think it was unusually spectacular, and I did not think it was worth the price. She got the fries, which were hot, under-salted, and served in a cute metal container. Next time we will try the garlic herb fries for an up charge. I got the maccaroni and cheese which was my favorite part of the meal. It contained curly pasta (slightly firm/undercooked for my taste), some whitish cheese sauce, and shredded cheddar cheee. It was a little smaller portion than I would have liked, but it was enough. The flavor was delicious. Within 35 minutes of our arrival, there were 3 birthday songs songs by the staff. The birthday people were served sundaes, and my daughter wanted one. Though the "birthday sundae" was not on the menu, our server said she would make us one. It was vanilla ice cream with strawberry and chocolate sauces, whipped cream and a cherry. The cherry tasted like medicine, and the whipped cream was the cheap kind that didn't taste like cream, but she enjoyed it. I had the "Bite-tini", which was delicious brownie bites in a martini glass with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry. It had way too much whipped cream, and I agreed that the cherry tasted like medicine, but the brownies were great. Overall, we enjoyed our food, our service, the speed of delivery of our meals, and the atmosphere. Burgers were tasty, yet a little over priced. We will be back, but will probably not ever try one if their "gourmet" burgers which are even more expensive ($14-15 range).

Food mediocre or worse and overpriced.

Finally!. I'm so glad to finally have a Red Robin in town! I've been every week since they opened! Service is a bit slow at the moment, but you know how new restaurants in Baton Rouge can be. Once the new wears off I imagine things will be running ship shape.

I had the best burger ever here! The Banzai (sp?) burger was amazing! It included grilled pineapple!!! I enjoyed it with sweet potato fries!! The fries could have been better with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar! The service needs polishing a bit OVER HELPFUL! I bet our waitress asked us 20 times if we were ok! I will be back!!

Drive Thru like burgers, pricey for that.. Overpriced frozen/fast food style burgers & chicken sandwiches. Not particularly bad, but expected more than a fast food tasting burger for the price.
