Review Golden Corral - Baton Rouge

The food was fine and the restaurant area wasn't too bad. I will say this, anytime my three year old walks in the restroom and not even two steps in he gags, that's an issue. All three toilets were clogged and one urinal had toilet paper pulled in it. I know we can't control other people and the idiocy of other people, but as a business owner we have to make sure we are double checking these things.

Food was mediocre, dessert was on the better side. I believe majority of restaurant's food quality has decreased since Covid-19. Drink service was below par, the workers were just sitting there talking while our drinks have been empty for quite a while. However overall would give another chance.

Food is what you would expect from some place like this. Not great food but not terrible for sure. Difficult to keep food on the bar. Service was ok considering.

Good food for a great price. Only problem was they didn't have any spoons for their ice cream and the waitress never brought us one after asking twice so I'm giving it a 4 star. This is a great place to eat when you're not sure what you want to eat because they literally have a little bit of everything.

Golden corral is no where near as good as it use to be. The food is mediocre, takes forever to replenish buffet line, but what disappointed me the most is every dish (plate) was dirty to where I watched people on side of me, in front of me and there after have to sort through dirty plates to get to the cleans ones. I understand that dishwashers get overwhelmed and do what they got to do to keep up with demand but if that means putting half clean dishes out my customers would just have to wait. I manage dishwashers and there no way in hell I'll let my team put out dirty dishes. Someone needs to do a better job managing the back of house staff. (Photo is what I took while posting this review) but this has been happening everytime I went to the line!!!

I had a wonderful time, my server was not the friendliest however she wasn't rude. She possibly was just having an off day. My food was delicious the facility was clean, the buffet was restocked frequently, to go plates were priced reasonably and there is a wide variety of options. As long as they're not really busy, I enjoy being here.

Was there at dinnertime. The bar was out of a lot of food and also had food on it that had been there for hours. Our lovely waitress went and helped the kitchen put food on the bar. There was none of their special shrimp had to ask for fried fish to be put on the bar, the pot roast was black and hard from sitting for so long. They are short-handed and need help. I think once they are able to higher more people things will get better. Looking forward to that. If you are looking for a job they are hiring.

First off, we had never been to this establishment.We thought maybe go after 2pm and the crowd would not be bad. We got there and it was like being at a livestock auction. We only waited maybe 30 minutes to get a table. Then it was a disaster. Must say the manager's were trying to keep control of the crowd. The parents of the children were allowing them to go help themselves and make a disaster of the place. You would have thought we were at Chuck E Cheese. We stood in line to get food and when you get there the food was gone. Again the management was doing all they could to help with the situation. Our server was also very attentive. No complaints there. I have worked food service for many years, and I really wanted to pitch in and help. This was a disaster. The people were dropping plates of food on the floor and kept walking. Turning on ice cream machine and let it waste.. children going to food lines unattened. Managers kept reminding parents not to let children go unattended to the buffet, but that didn't help. I feel the building should be larger and workers better prepared for such a large crowd. The price is very cheap for buffet, it was cheaper than going to McDonalds with a family, and children had run of building like on a playground. I guess it is like the old saying, you get what you pay for. The cooks could not keep food replinished with any of the food. Again I really felt sorry for the workers of this Golden Corral. I hope the Golden Corral coming to Hammond is more prepared for such situations. I will drive to McComb, Mississippi next time.

Well on this day Sept.2, 17 Saturday the food service were terrible!! They didn't have food put out on time the tray of food stayed empty. You had to wait for food a long period of time and it didn't have a lot of people there!! When they ran out of the beef stew they replaced it with a pan of cornbread and meatloaf in that spot!! The ribs was over cooked!! The butterfly shrimp was to hard!!there was no baked corn!! The fried chicken you had to wait a long period of time!! It's to early since this place been open for the service to be this horrible!!

We won't be going back at 11: 30 again for sure! You can barely walk in there w/o running into someone! The food is good, but not great. I would rather go back to our favorite place Cracker Barrell. Hardly ever a problem with the overflow of people, I would love to shop there more than eat, but their food is a lot better than Golden Coral. That's just my opinion.

Lisa the lady who kept checking on US was a breath of fresh air. So nice... pizza only thing I could think of that they could work on lol. One pizza and just cheese not good lol

The food was too greasy and horrible and made my nephew throw up on the way home, most of the food was out and my sister went to get a steak and the guy cooking the steaks left the grill while they were cooking and burned them, the place was too crowded but we had an awesome waitress Ms. Angela, I like the Golden Corral in Gulfport, Mississippi so much better

Ate here many many times at this New location. Went today for the first time in about a month. Food quality has gone way way down. Selection was horrible. Brunch discontinued and the raised the price by $3. Asked for mgr who honestly said sorry it was bad have a nice day. Never again. Avoid this place at all cost.

Quality is not up to par with other locations. Children playing on the food bars. Manager making announcements asking children under 10 to be accompanied. Chocolate fountain was a sloppy mess

The food was good even though I missed the fried liver and the server was good also . Her name was Tina!!

Rude staff, dirty tables, all eating utensils had crusted food residue, most of the food was cold.

Upon walking inside, the front glass doors were dirty & smeared with old food. The carpet was dirty and displayed a terrible odor. A lot of empty tables, but they were dirty & had piles of dirty dishes on top. Silverware was not clean & there were flies flying around the tables. There were even dead flies on window seals. Salad bar & food area were dirty & disgusting. A worker was wiping down the food bars & touching the food with her dirty wet towel. Men's restroom was dirty & displayed a strong urine odor. The only area that looked good was the outside of the building. I think it's a shame that this restaurant was just constructed about 4 months ago & the cleanliness of the inside is already in disarray. I will never return again to any Golden Corral Restaurants.

No ice coming in, no water either, had to stand in line for just about everything because the bar was empty. The lady making the cake was hiding behind the counter so she could talk on the phone. My wife asked how long for the carrot cake to be ready and was told it would be an hour. I watched the cake lady decorating it before my wife went back to check. Finally gave up and left. Very disappointed, this use to be my favorite place to eat.

We had a great experience. Food was fresh, hot and quite tasty. The steak was grilled to perfection and outrageously delicious. And our server Lakiesha ROCKED! She never stopped moving and as far as I could tell, none of her tables lacked attention, ours certainly did not, drinks stayed full, plates cleared quickly, and she still found time to keep her section clean and tidy and swept. We will definitely be back.

I give them a three because some of the food wasn't hot it was luke warm anfd the sevice wasn't that good either but I would probably go back again in the near future

My waiter was a young lady named Keisha and she was the best!!!

It was my first time at the new location , liked the old one better , it was late opening , and the man that was doing the omelet acted as though he was new at making omelets the waif line on eggs and other foods was long,our waitress was the only one that had a smile on her face,out was a fried for my birthday

Buffet never stocked cane Friday night no steak here Tuesday nite....still no steak on buffet

Wish I could remember our waitress name ! I know it was Miss .... ! She was so friendly, kept our table free of used plates , brought drink refills w/o ever having to ask ! Just awesome ! When we return , I know her face & we will ask for her section ! Thanks for the great service Miss ...

the grill guy think its ok to serve someone a steak thats med well when I asked for rare to med rare.

Terrible! Had a bucket full of fried chicken but no white meat! Ok so I waited over 30 minutes for the next batch, still no white meat. No baked potatoes. Asked a worker, she said they would be up soon. Never filled them up! Unorganized! The pulled pork was 8 pans away from the BBQ sauce. Never again!

The new location needs larger space a lady took sick the bathrooms on the other side of restaurants don't understand this ,really needs larger space to accommodate larger Baton rouge LA and it's growing visiting people

Our office made a big order for our Thanksgiving dinner today and everything was ready on time for pick up, it was hot and a hit all around! Props to the floor manager Troy, he went above & beyond to be sure the order was ready, portable & carried it all to our vehicle! Thank you, we have no complaints, everything was perfect!!

Everything was good. It was very crowded but they kept the buffet filled.

You the public should know what you pay for. Golden corral advertise. All you can eat. Prime Rib and shrimp. The Prime Rib part is a lie. It's Chuck roast not prime rib. Tell them to remove prime rib and change it to Chuck roast that's false advertising.

The food was HORRIBLE! I normally don't eat of a buffet and now I know why....never again!

This location is just down right disgusting and filthy. Should be shut down!!!

I was enjoying myself till I found a hair in my food and lost my appetite.
