One of my all-time favorite restaurants, and I have eaten in about 15 different countries. Can't wait to go back!
I went last night to Tallulah to check out the hotel and bar. I enjoyed a Wicked Collins that perfectly balanced fresh cilantro, jalapeño and cucumber with gin, ginger beer and agave nectar. It was one of the best cocktails I have ever had. Each flavor came through perfectly and the aroma was heavenly. The atmosphere was upscale and pleasing. Service was excellent. The hotel has a contemporary decor that melds with Louisiana motlffs beautifully. An overhead sculpture appears to be a stylized flock of birds and cypress-like wood pieces that evoke the outdoors provide a unique hotel atmosphere in BR.
Nice addition to BR Food Scene. I had read the reviews about slow service but we had an excellent evening. Service was good and the food was a different flare than some of our traditional B.R. seafood restaurants. We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitetly return.
Very Happy Diners!!. My husband and I went with two other couples to Tallulah last night for the first time. All six of us could not have been more pleased with the food we were served, as well as the quality of service. Two chose the New York Strip (with a fantastic blue cheese fondue), two had the filet and the other two had sea bass. The food was absolutely fantastic! Also, our waiter was extremely attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Our reservation was for 7 p.m. and we were there until 10:30, but only because we enjoyed the atmosphere so much. We will absolutely make plans to eat at Tallulah again, and will happily recommend it to our friends.
Secret's Almost Out. A top notch experience! The hotel is gorgeous and the food and drinks are great. Nice simple menu. I had the osso bucco and crème brulée and both were absolutely amazing. The restaurant is new, so the staff seems to be a little green, but they are very friendly and attentive and I think Tallulah will be a top destination in no time.
The Sea Bass was Fantastic! And a Beautiful presentation! We ordered the crab cakes as an app and they were very good (although not hot enough for me.) The table behind us got beautiful thick Filets, made my mouth water. Our waiter Adam was a real class act and very helpful in our wine and beer selection.
Tallulah is a cozy little spot located in the Renaissance hotel. It wasn’t busy yet so you could seat yourself. Not what I call upscale but definitely really nice.
Our host was awesome in making suggestions based on his knowledge and was very prompt in meeting our needs. Wasn’t too hungry so only ordered the Brisket Fries and they were really tasty. The portions were great and I would definitely come back again just to relax and enjoy a quiet evening.
The service and the food are hands down exceptional. The Creole Burger is the best I have ever had. I’m a big boy who loves some burgers, and the Creole Burger is insanely good! The tomato and the candied bacon. Is it a dessert, or is it a meal? Or both? Check them out.
Tallulah is an absolute gem of a restaurant. I had dinner on the first night they served the new menu and could not have been happier. The bartender was polite and attentive. The food was AMAZING. The scallops were cooked perfectly (an easy thing to do wrong) and the risotto that came with it was otherworldly. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items.
The food( buffalo wings, gumbo,, fish and grits)and drinks (Feliciana, ...Coutoure)were great and the server/bartender was excellent on 6/24. No complaints.
The four of us each had something different, and everything was excellent and delicious. Recommend the pork chop!
Food was great & bar keep was very attentive
Great service, came for lunch and the hummus was great. Nice atmosphere and lounge like seating. Not the cheapest lunch but no real complaints.
