The Cheese fries appetizer is great! The cheese fries are wedged and they have a nice crispy outside. The ranch that comes with the cheese fries is really good. The ribs are also good and definitely try the Mac and cheese! Great service! KC was our server and they were very helpful and knows the menu very well. Loved all of the recommendations!

Steak houses are always good in my book. This one however was exception. Friendly staff completes the experience and makes it better. Hard to find a server that actually cares and ours went above and beyond in every way all while smiling and being friendly.

The service was great...our waitress was actually training another young lady. I cannot remember they names, but they were awesome. We went May 28, 2022, the day before my bday. This was my birthday dinner celebration. I'm giving three 🌟 bcuz... MY FOOD WAS NOT HOT WHEN IT ARRIVED TO OUR TABLE. Normally I would have sent it back, but it was late so I just took it to go. That was very disappointing.

Ashley was a great waitress!! Very pleasant to talk to! Will go back just for her! The food was also very good. Best Mac& cheese I ve ever tasted in a restaurant! I'm always skeptical ordering Mac&Cheese; this time I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! đź‘Ť WELL BE BACK!!

The seasoning was good. But they don’t know how to cook a T bone. Ordered medium rare and it was raw by the bone.

We went as a late valentine since the husband was not available on valentines to do anything. We made a reservation just to be safe and they seated us on time which I was very impressed by. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Our server was excellent and on time for anything we needed. The bread was good and hot and the macaroni and salad was delicious. My steak I got the 10 oz ribeye and it was a little thin for my liking because it gets to chewy if not cooked correctly. I ordered it medium well and it came out almost well but not burnt. It is as just to much chewing for me to eat it. I will pass it to my grandson. My husband got the supreme porter house and it was delicious he said. His was cooked to order and not chewy. It was a bigger steak and he did take some home for breakfast. Also we got the mushrooms for an appetizer and they were excellent. Over all it was a really nice place and maybe I will go back and try the chicken. And to their credit I am not a big steak eater but was in the mood for one last night.

They are short staffed, but I appreciate the employees that show up for work everyday. I have been here a few times in the past year. Our server Sienna was so kind and pleasant. She suggested a different appetizer than I usually get and I loved the range rattlers she suggests. Very attentive to mine and my nieces needs. Our steak was not the best that day, but I am not even perfect when I cook. Restaurant was clean and appreciate everything our server did to make our experience the best it possibly could be. We will be back and ask for the best server we have ever had at an establishment. Thank you again Sienna for your hospitality and good luck at LSU.

The hostess was super nice. She set us down really quickly, our server came over and greeted us and had our drinks out to us really quickly. We ordered mushrooms for an appetizer which were really good. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend saltgrass as a place to go out for a great intimate dinner with someone special. I would like to further say that our server was really well trained. Super nice and very understanding to all of our special ordering needs. I would give it an a+ rating. Go see them and I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did

Went with my son for the first time yesterday. The ribeye was PERFECTION! Best tasting steak I’ve had in a little while. My son got the jalapeño/shrimp poppers and I had a small bite of that and it was delicious as well. He ordered the brisket tacos and wasn’t as impressed. They didn’t have flour tortillas as an option and he just wasn’t crazy about the dish. It wasn’t awful but not great either. But the steak! I’m not picky when it comes to steak but I know when I don’t like one. Some have too much pepper, some don’t have enough salt, some places don’t know what true medium rare is. Some are juicer that others. Every box was checked for me here! I love a loaded baked potato with my steak. With this too, I can eat any version of that side dish but some places don’t have a good ratio for toppings and the potato is dry. This one was everything I love! I got the gin and ginger mojito and it was also delish. Drinks are a little pricey but we went during happy hour so it was half off. Our server was super sweet although a little slow on the service. My son asked for extra Ranch and never got it but that’s minor all things considered. The food came out super fast which was nice. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant and getting the exact same thing. Why mess with perfection? :)

I had a horrible experience this restaurant, ordered a steak ..which was prompted by the mere fact that it is a "steakhouse", guess it was a "bad idea", waited 45 mins - 1 hr, only to be served a cold steak and potato, when informing the waiter about the food being cold , he apologized and took the food back to the kitchen..after about 20-25 more minutes the manager returned with the wrong food , tried to switch the baked potato for mashed potatoes , which was not what i ordered, but again , same situation "cold food", this point, I'm fed up, so I suggest that they don't come back with the food , as it was clear point , that it wasn't about coming to a resolution, but merely means of either ridiculing me, or frustrating me to the point , that i accept whatever was served to me...This was my first and last time ever eating at this restaurant, but wait, I never actually got to eat...#smh..consumers beware, this is not a "customer friendly" environment....

First time going and it was excellent! Brice was our waiter and was absolutely awesome! He was on top of his game. My steak and garlic mashed potatoes were phenomenal! Even the salad was great! We were a table of 6 and no complaints on hamburger or ribs. Will be returning. Just add gumbo to that menu lol.

Worst experience ever. We were a Party of 12, we arrived and were seated at 4:15pm 6/17/2018 we had a reservation. We ordered our Food around 4:40 might have been a little earlier. At about 5:30 a manager said they were working to get the food out as fast as possible, This was after the table next to us walked out because customers who arrived later got their food faster. Our food was warm to slightly cold for some of us. when you put the herb butter on and it doesn't melt to create that awesome steak look someone should have known something right then. Not sure where the breakdown was but it was bad. To have spent well over $300 and get charged tips on top it was not worth it.

My steak was delicious! Cooked as I requested and was really tasty. Had a house salad, was a bit small but tasty. Was not too keen on the croutons was waaaay too salty for my taste! Otherwise it was a good experience! The bread that was brought to the table was also delicious. Would recommend this restaurant!

Went for lunch today for our admin lunch. Waiter was fantastic. Appetizers were delicious. The entree not so much. Order the Pat's Ribeye Medium (was cooked well done and was a thin Ribeye) taste was over salty no flavor. Ordered a loaded baked potato that wasn't cooked fully(could not eat it). The desserts were ok. I was very disappointed in the food quality. Always bragged about Saltgrass in Texas. But Baton Rouge just wasn't great. Hoping to give y'all another chance in the evening to see if the evening chef is better. Glad y'all are here and wish y'all the best in Baton Rouge.

The food was wonderful. The service was great. The acoustics are terrible. We were at a round table for 6 and could only hear the people directly left and right. Not much fun for a family meal. Brocolli cold and not steamed or blanched. The rest of the food was room temperature.

We waited 2 hours to be seated and even after being seated it still was an additional hour after we got our food. We arrived at 7 and did not leave until 11 a total of 4 hours

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday. We ordered the appetizer of Queso Fresco. LOVED it !! A salad came with our meal. Both were fine, but mine could have used more dressing (minor issue). My husband ordered their Surf & Turf. His steak was cooked as he requested and the shrimp were seasoned well. He loved his dish. I ordered the Brisket Burger. I also loved mine. Nice atmosphere. Our waiter was Justin and he was very nice and super attentive. We'll be back for sure.

Terrible service. Waited over an hour at lunch time as people who arrived later were being seated before us. Another party who had a reservation also had to wait over 30 min. Hostess was rude when we approached her and apathetic when we decided to leave. Can't say anything about the food but the service alone will keep me from coming back

I frequent this restaurant quite often, although I went last night and my waiter was awful. She disappeared on my party so I ended up having to ask the closest waiter to assistance us in closing out our meal (not to mention she forgot most of my order) .. Saltgrass is usually one of my normal stops during the week but after this visit I may have to make another weekly choice....

We had a wait of an hour and a half, we ended up going inside sitting and eating at the bar. Well thank GOD we did, our hostess, the bartender was excellent. Her name was Sam, very professional, knowledgeable about the menu, and her smile along with her attitude was outstanding. We need more people like her in this industry where you have to deal with people.
