Outstanding! From the moment you walk in. Cozy and friendly service.
If you like seafood breakfast specials, this is the place. If not, there are plenty of other selections. I had a great Rueben Omelet, and the better half had a nice scrambler.

Food quality and portion sizes were good. Service was a bit slow. Great views from the porch seating area.

Delicious food, very friendly service! We used the wheelchair ramp since my 92 year old mom couldn’t use the steps. Ordered the crab cake appetizer, crab cake sandwich, chicken salad wrap, crab meat grilled cheese, and BLT with turkey. All were delicious and large portions. Loved the view and the breeze on the porch. We highly recommend and will return!

Wow what great food. It does take a minute to make because they don't microwave your food. I went all 3 days on vacation and had a variety of the menu. Everything was great! Only a little dig on the service, not our waitress though she was super nice and accommodating, they did however say we couldn't add horseradish to comething because they didn't have it.. then brought out horseradish with the oysters.... otherwise everything was beyond 5 stars. Be patient wait your turn to sit and you will be rewarded.

What a hidden gem! We got there just after breakfast service finished, but weren't disappointed with the lunch menu at all.
They showcase Maine's amazing seafood in a relaxed accessible way. We enjoyed the crab BLT and the blackened haddock sandwich, with a crab cake on top and lobster aioli. Some of the best food we have had in a long time!
The service is friendly and casual, with self service drinks. If you can sit on the terrace, the view over the river is lovely.
Parking can be a challenge if it is busy, but definitely worth finding a spot and trying it out!

The food was wonderful. Our server worked hard and was so friendly. Party of three. One got meat lovers omelet and said it was good. The other two got specials - monte cristo sandwich and shrimp, spinach and feta over scrambled eggs. Delicious. Don't miss the cookies. We got some chocolate chip cookies to go and we glad we did. So delicious.

I wish Google allowed me to add an occasional sixth star when a place has something of the charts to offer. This restaurant's imports and pastries, seafood dishes for breakfast and their scones, were both some of the best breakfast items we have ever had anywhere. Charming location, indoor and outdoor seating, very slow service because they kitchen is small and the deliciousness is well known by locals, but you can grab pastries and self serve coffee right when you walk in(and you should not miss the blueberry granola scones!) All the food coming out looked good, nice home fries, homemade toast, sweet but interesting muffin French toast. But the seafood omelettes were the star of our meal. Bacon Swiss scallop with caramelized onions was breakfasty but loaded with scallops. The seafood omlette had loads of shrimp, scallop and lobster in every bite plus shredded crab throughout. Seafood was perfectly cooked, fresh and firm...a delicious reminder that you are eating food prepared by a local lobsterman's family, much of it out of the waters you can see from the tables on the porch. Exceptional... We might come back for the seafood tacos and salads again today at lunch if we can ever find room to eat again.

The seafood chowder was excellent. Loved the BLT with haddock. Portions were generous and the staff seemed genuinely glad to serve us. Prices were fair, and my five dollar house wine was generous. A great place to get lunch!

I feel the best experience for me about eating at the Winnegance Restaurant other than the great food is the roots of the establishment haven’t been changed. The old wooden floors as one steps inside is silently echoing out the memories of former owners and customers when it was a General Store.
The feeling of “Everybody Knows Your Name” still exists here. “Help yourself to a cup of coffee”and discuss the beauty of why Maine is so special - it’s the people.
The owners, Holli and Shawn, are creating gourmet meals and desserts and they make everyone feel relaxed and welcomed. It’s homemade cooking that will warm your soul.
The restaurant is small but the tables are constantly being shuffled to accommodate any sized party. The warmer weather brings the added bonus of outside porch dining. It’s just a great time and the help is always friendly and quick to please.
Whether it’s a morning breakfast with real homemade fries or Shawn’s award winning chowders with a chicken salad sandwich, my family and I are never disappointed. The only disappointment one may encounter is scoring a parking spot, but take out is available and an abundance of fresh caught Maine fish, as well as other staples, are available to purchase.
Thank you for working so hard and helping us to enjoy some normalcy.

Great food, friendly staff, lovely view. We’ve been going to the Winnegance for years. It never disappoints. Some of our favorites are the blackened haddock tacos or scallop tacos.

											Cute place.
Service was average.
Menu was an interesting mix of meh and very good. My blt was a blt. No more, no less, just like mom made. Not even the bread was special.
My partners steak sandwich tho... Holy monkeys. Bread was as close to perfect as bread can get. Cheese was gooey, a little salty, perfect complement to the copious serving of steak. Diced peppers were a nice touch.
Both sandwiches came with chips. Just chips. Not even good chips. The kind you get at sams. Just... chips.
Oh. And a pickle wedge.
So that was nice.
You also get to fill your own water.
So its a lot like your moms. When you were 11.
Its weird how much it cost. Very pricey for a restaurant with a nice view of the highway, with average food.
I forgot about the cookies! If you like dry, crumbly peanut butter (like moms), you'll love them. They're ALSO expensive.
Now about the bathroom. Hold it. Theres a gas station about 3 miles away.

Wonderful place. Excellent food. Friendly staff and owner. (Sorry getting my first bite of the Vegetarian Reuben took precedence over photographing it!)

Outstanding breakfast.. everything is hot and fresh. Corned beef hash and sausage are house made. A wide range of house made pastries a perfect.
