South Side Grill is a locally owned restaurant that has the best pies around Batesville. Their food is very good too. They have a great lunch buffet with great deserts. You can’t wrong with anything on their menu. They have some short hours through the week so make sure you check their hours.

Great stop. Wonderful sweet tea and lemonade. Had fish plate and Reuben sandwich. Would order again. Very good potato salad.

It's a little mom and pop type dinner. The service is really friendly, the food is good, and the place is clean. My husband's family has been going there over a decade. Also, it isn't on the menu, but try asking for a grilled fish salad. Anyone who's worked there more than a year knows we order it a lot :)

The coconut pie was fair as was the fried okra and squash. We ordered roast beef and it was served in a styrofoam cup which contained gravy, potatoes, and carrots but no roast beef! My husband's cup was only half full.The rolls were served AFTER we had finished eating. There were only three other tables in the restaurant at the time we were there. I will never return to this restaurant. There are too many OTHER good places to eat.
