Mario runs a first class business with a first class heart! I drove up on a Saturday after they had closed with summer hours. He was still in the parking lot and drove back around, opened the store for me and another customer who happened to have also just pulled in unaware of the new summer hours!!
The food is always amazing and delicious! It never disappoints! Thank you Mario and staff!!!
The finest Italian foods and meals available in this area! Their spaghetti sauce is delectable! The Eggplant rollatini a delight! Their meats are the best cuts and home made sausages delicious. I like that I can go and buy several pre-made meals of either pasta, eggplant, chicken, pork or sausage and just pop them in the oven for a ready dinner in under and hour. My husband loves their chicken chili. I was informed yesterday that the Far Hills store had re-opened since the pandemic. Currently, there is a sign at the Baking Ridge store that allows five customers in at one time. I went on a Tuesday and did not have to wait to get in.
We are new to Basking Ridge and this store made us feel welcome right away. They gave us a jar of house made marinara when we came in for steaks, and it was excellent. The only place we will be shopping for meat and other Italian needs.
These guys do it right with quick, quality, helpful service. Best Italian style sub sandwich I’ve had anywhere on the east coast. It hits every time.
Also have awesome prepared foods like pasta dishes, wings, homemade meatballs and the like. And I haven’t even mentioned their prepared meats like chicken/turkey/or lamb burgers, dry aged steaks, baby back ribs, breaded pork chops.
They’re open pretty late for a deli/butcher which is nice too. Come here for a sandwich or to pick up a meal for tonight. Cannot recommend enough
Wonderful selection of prime meats and prepared dishes. Tell them what you would like and they will provide that OR come up alternatives with varying price points. Very helpful.
I have been shopping weekly at M&M Perrotti's for years. The entire team is friendly and always helpful. I made my last batch of meatballs and pot of tomato sauce when I discovered that Michael and Mario make both better than I do! So now there is always a jar of Perrotti's Meat Sauce in my pantry. All the prepared foods are great, and the Meat Shop has a great selection of quality proteins. I always order my Thanksgiving turkey from Perrotti's and also order all the sides from them too,, the mashed potatoes are a family favorite. Needless to say, I highly recommend M&M Perrotti's!

We moved from NYC recently and I’m a trained cook that worked throughout the food industry for years... I am BEYOND thrilled to have found M&M Perrotti’s. I cook constantly for my family of 4 and for friends, so I went into Perrotti’s for its excellent meats. I walked in and saw a fantastic selection of prepared foods and sampled 4 different dinners right off the bat because of how well prepared they looked, how nicely packaged they were, and the clear ease of preparing them with instructions printed on the labels. I have a bottomless stomach so I heated up all 4 that same night to sample and my husband, who after being married to a professional cook for almost 2 decades isn’t easily impressed, stopped after the second bite and said “where did you get this??” Nothing they make misses the mark from chicken pot pie to ravioli. Complimented the owner, Mario (the nicest), and he told me I had to have the eggplant parm. I purposefully had been waiting on that because it’s my favorite... well, I just heated it up and Mario was right - it’s THE BEST EGGPLANT PARM I HAVE EVER HAD. I actually ate half the pan and signed on to write this review. It’s that good. So incredibly tender and well-seasoned - I am cutting through multiple layers of thinly sliced eggplant with a butter knife. There’s no acrid aftertaste that some eggplant parms leave. It’s honestly perfect. I’m going to stock up on these next week because I want to be able to have it as my comfort go-to.
Also as someone formerly from the food industry, I love these guys as butchers. They took such great care of me when I was looking for chicken bodies for stock. I am going to do a dry-aged ribeye for my husband and I soon. And the biggest thing - they are meticulously clean. I love to watch kitchens clean down before and after service and at close because it makes me feel confident in the food safety standards. I watched these guys go over every single surface. Love love love this place and stocking up here is going to get me through 2020.
Perrotti saved the day on Thanksgiving with their delicious family Thanksgiving meal! The gravy was the best part! The portions were generous and the food was well prepared and packaged with simple reheating directions included. If you're considering a purchasing meal for your extended family you should definitely try Perrotti!
