Ruben's

We have been getting Ruben's california burrito for over a year, and it never disappoints. I've never tried any of their other stuff but I'm sure its great. The california burrito is the juiciest, most flavourful burrito I've had in a while. It can easily be shared by two people, and the side spicy sauces go very well with it. We will definitely keep coming back. If you're ever in Fed Hill and looking for a quick bite - I would recommend this place over most of the bar food in the area.

The guy that took my order was nice. I ordered a SHRIMP burrito and added guacamole. I wouldn’t care as much if it weren’t an extra $3 up-charge for shrimp and I had 3 maybe 4 shrimp… No exaggeration. A pricey up-charge just to barely have shrimp throughout the burrito. 2 of them were quite literally on top of each other so I got 2 in one bite 😭 but for the most part that burrito was vegan asl. I understand it not being in every bite but that was ridiculous. Other than that it was fresh ingredients and the shrimp wasn’t under seasoned or chewy but not worth it. If I return I’ll just stick with the flat rate and get chicken. I liked the half and half that they have though. Heavy on lemonade just as a heads up, in my opinion.

I’ve been trying Mexican place in the DC through Uber Eats and this has been the most interesting one so far. I am usually disappointed but this place surprised me. The chorizo taco and carne asada burrito were good. The salsa packs were good too. A little too much rice in the burrito, but flavor of the meat was good. Next time I’m going to try the “gas station burrito” which is just beans, cheese, and meat.
