Valanti was so knowledgeable about what beers we would like and what would pair best with our food. He even recommended dessert beers. The food was fantastic, fresh and hot. Crab cakes were lump and not full of fillers. Steak was cooked perfectly medium and so very tender. I can not wait to go back. It is certainly a gem in the gym.

This place really is amazing. The staff seems happy and well trained. The owner is a great man and is always very professional and fair with people. This is a baltimore staple and is worth checking out any time of the day. Lunch is good and dinner is even better. Wines galore and plenty of good vibes all day long.
Cool spot in the Merritt gym. You don't need a membership to go there. The food is amazing. Great Greek fusion food. Very flavorful. Awesome beer list. It's definitely a hidden gem. In a gym. No pun intended. The also do a fantastic job catering. Best kept secret!
I can't say enough about Plates Restaurant! When we have guests visiting our Mt. Vernon offices, we always try to make it to Plates. Aside from being an awesome Greek-Mediterranean-American-Fusion menu, their lamb burger is OFF THE HOOK! The wait staff is always incredibly courteous and hospitable, and Valanti is the best owner/host - you know you'll get more than amazing food when he's in! Great conversation, too! :)
Really enjoyed my time at Plate's! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I attended the Friday night Dragshow and couldn't lay off the creaming chicken and spinach alfredo dish they had set up for the guests (amongs many other dishes to enjoy). The performers were a blast, the host was hysterical and the drink special for the evening was delish. Ill definitely be back. Also i left my favorite jean jacket there n was away on vacay n came back weeks later to find it was still there safely waiting for me to scoop it up. So thankful! Thanks Plate's 💓
Plates Restaurant is a Eat In or Carry Out that I visit when I can. My visits is at lunch time so far. Great food! Nice place to eat and has a pleasant atmosphere. When time comes I will try HAPPY ☺ Hour, so stay tune for more details. GO AND VISIT! EAT, DRINK AND BE MARRIED AT PLATES RESTAURANT!!!😉
Met Herr for a Meetup, loved the quesadilla, the calamari was excellent. Drinks were good and they had a variety of wines for happy hour. Will definitely be coming back to try more.
Very quaint and cozy. Very nice atmosphere for any meal. Prices are very moderate and the food is excellent. They have specials everyday and all day happy hr on Fridays.
Food Great! Service Excellent. Only con, that is shortly lived is the wait time. Reason being food is made fresh and not microwaved... great spot for a delishes delight...
Plates doesn't look impressive but the food and service are good, and the prices are reasonable. It's a good place for supper before seeing a play at Center Stage.
The food is awesome, never had a mediocre item here. Everything is filled with flavor. Generous portions. Plates FTW!
