Lovely meal in the wine cellar at The Black Olive. The food was outstanding. Definitely one of the best meals that I have eaten in ages. Very memorable food, looking forward to going there again soon. I really, really wanted to give this place a 5 star rating but unfortunately the service was not great. The waitstaff seemed to disappear on us, we definitely would have ordered another bottle of wine but the server did not return. She also did not return with a seltzer water that was requested twice. I get it that some people in a private room might like to be bothered with checking in, but I think that we were not checked in enough. Also, I hate to mention this but it was very awkward when we left because we were told that there was a mistake running the credit cards that two of them were missed, when in fact in turned out that one of the servers had pocketed the $180 cash since two of of paid cash. I am hoping this was an honest mistake but it was definitely something that should not have happened. Again, the food was outstanding and the wine cellar was a great atmosphere. Hoping to give it another try soon.

🥰Much love to Dimitri for allowing me to celebrate another birthday at his wonderful restaurant with my best friends! This was my 2nd Birthday Dinner at the Black Olive! I shared my special dinner with new friends this year so they could experience the wonderful food! We had stuffed calamari, grilled mushrooms and grilled shrimp and an eggplant and garlic spread for Appetizers. For dinner, grilled snapper, lamp Chops (excellent!), Crab Cakes and Chicken. We had a yummy spicy blood orange margarita! For dessert, the carrot cake was delicious! As an added bonus, the Owner, Dimitri escorted me and my party to a special table I requested in the basement where I dined the 1st time I visited the Black Olive, very nice and cozy! Special thanks to Dimitri! Also, special shout out and thanks to our lovely Waitress, Rani. She shared with us she was on her 2nd day working at the Black Olive, she was new....well, we had no way of knowing! She was totally professional, knew the menu like a pro and she had a young lady named Chloe shadowing her (training) that night! Rani did an excellent job! Chloe too! We didn't want for a thing! Rani made wonderful suggestions and we were able to order an enjoyable meal! Ask for Rani, she will take great care of you! Everything is made fresh, so you can't go wrong with anything you order from the menu! Five Stars! I highly recommend! Dimitri, I'll see you soon and most certainly for my birthday next year!!

We like coming here. It has a relaxed dining room & the food is impeccable. The service is as well. We all had fish dishes and I would recommend any of them. I noticed the dining chairs are very comfortable. Sometimes you forget about the little things like that. I think It's a perfect place for special occasion dinners. Enjoy!

The experience and ambiance was great! We were a tad bit late however the host was able to still seat us immediately. The staff was very professional and the food was good. It was a nice intimate environment. The drink slection was extensive. If you are a wine drinker this would be a nice place to sit down eat and select a good wine. We will be back to enjoy the food and the great environment.

All around great experience. Delicious food and great service. I am addicted to the village Greek salad. The Chilean sea bass was perfect and the tiramisu was a whole event.

Restaurant Review Upon entering the restaurant, one is instantly transported to Greece through the delectable homemade dishes that tantalize the palate. The flavors are robust and reminiscent of the sun-kissed Mediterranean coast. Seating is a mixed bag: the chairs are wonderfully comfortable, ensuring a relaxed dining experience, but the tables are on the smaller side, which can make for a cramped setup. However, the service leaves much to be desired. A lengthy wait of 15 minutes just to place a drink order sets the tone for a less-than-stellar dining experience. Furthermore, the waiter’s demeanor made it feel as though we were inconveniencing them by not being immediately ready. To add to this, there was a distinct lack of guidance regarding the menu, leaving diners to fend for themselves in terms of understanding the offerings. On a brighter note, the restaurant’s atmosphere strikes a balance with its noise level, allowing for both ambiance and conversation. In conclusion, while the food and ambiance are commendable, the service could use significant improvement to match the quality of the dishes.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews! We eat in Baltimore all of the time, but this was one of our best meals. The food is fresh and cooked with Mediterranean love. We loved the tzatziki and octopus mezze as well as the sea scallop and Mediterranean bass entree. We were lucky to be seated on a quiet night, perfect for seafood lovers on a date night.

Lamb chops amazing. Calamari crispy yet soft. Meatballs full of taste, surprisingly so. Zucchini could have been cooked more and shall request next time. Delightful and was great. Hard, very hard, to find such great Greek food.

Okay. This is absolutely a fabulous restaurant. I can’t even begin to tell you how perfect. So I wanted to eat everything on the menu. I settled for the stuffed grilled calamari. Excellent. Perfectly prepared. I also got the whole branzino (sea bass). They filleted it tableside. It was divine. I followed dinner with a Greek coffee. Everything on the menu is made in house. I cannot wait to try everything else. The ambiance was so nice. Exposed brick, white table cloths, fresh flowers at every table, great lighting and Greek music. The service was absolutely perfect as well. My waiter was Michael. Great recommendations on the menu. I will be back on my next layover.
