La Mina Mexican Restaurant

First time I have ever walked out of a restaurant. First off the place is dirty, as in a health inspection is necessary at this point. The booth seats had food, the floor had food on it, the walls have ugh on them. Beyond that though the waitress was so stoned she could hardly keep her eyes open. A group of men came in about twenty minutes after us and she perked right up. They were seated directly behind us. We waited over twenty minutes for drinks (soda, not alcoholic), they were served instantly. We asked for guacamole at the same time they ordered bean dip. Again they were served promptly, after waiting another eight minutes and watching her go check on other tables we walked out. The chips we were served contained something black. No, it was not busy. I truly believe I have now experienced homophobia in California for the first time in my life. We did attempt to pay for the sodas but no one was at the front and my girlfriend was done waiting. I would rate negative stars if possible.

The restaurant itself from the inside is absolutely gorgeous love the little water fountain. The waiters are absolutely incredible very helpful with figuring out what you want to order. Manager was very attentive to us cuz my sister fell and hurt her knee. Our cocktail dreams were incredible but our food was not as delicious as I thought it was going to be.

We used to love going for brunch. This was our first time going since covid started. And the food just wasn't the same. My enchiladas were cold. The ribs were tough. The service was slow. There wasn't a whole lot of food choices..There prices went up. Its was 45 for 2 people.. think if we go back we'll try the other location. We were disappointed.
