Review Pork Chop & Bubba's Bbq - Bakersfield

First time eating here. The people there were so nice. Food is just over the top excellent. I got the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich. So excellent. Both sandwiches were so delicious and the meat is melt in your mouth so perfect and well cooked. I got the garlic tots and garlic fries as sides because I love garlic and they were excellent as well. Definitely will be going back!!! Highly recommended.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. This was my first time here and I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again. I got the brisket sammich and it tasted fantastic!

Super tasty pork ribs. On Fridays they have a special burger which changes every Friday. The picture I posted is one of those Friday special, this burger has Brie, bacon & Vidalia onion jam, and roasted whole garlic. It was damn delicious.

Not my first trip to Porkchop and Bubba's BBQ. This trip I was with my wife. We had the Pit Beef, Brisket, and Pork Ribs. Mind you everything was naked so you could sauce it yourself...and this is one area that makes this place great; flavorful food BEFORE you sauce it! My wife had a knife with her ribs and I didn't, even though I had slices of brisket. Before I embarrassed myself and asked for one I tried the brisket...it was fork tender and pulled apart as if it was melting. The flavor was beefy with a kiss of smoke...delicious. the deep pit (pit beef) was AMAZING! I am going to try it in a sandwich next time. The pork ribs were tender but had a nice pop as you bit into them. The fried okra was some of the best in town...who needs sauce???!!! My son enjoyed a hot link sandwich loving the caramelized veggies and the pop of the link...it was a spicy and tasty bite. If you love BBQ you need to try this BBQ!

I'm only upset I cannot give this place 10 stars.. The service was amazing, very reasonable prices, and the food was absolutely incredible! Everything was homemade and you could taste that! Brisket fell apart because it was smoked for so long! It was juicy, flavorful! Just absolutely incredible! Sweet tea was FRESH! Everything was amazing! Wow!

O M G! O M G! Do I have to add anything else? This place is an hidden gem! If you are close go there! You must! The meat was extremely delicious and so cooked to perfection that it melts in your mouth. It's not a figured speech. It's the way it is. The restaurant is really well designed inside, something special. Not too many seats, but just enough not to wait too long. You wanna surprise someone? This is the place you wanna go! Highly recommended.

Wow! The BBQ here has won me over. I can't wait to visit here again! The ribs were amazing,the Tri-tip is delicious, the brisket is tasty. I highly suggest that any BBQ fans need to give this place a try. 🍖

All I can say is, dont buy into the hype. Went and paid over 40 bucks for a kids meal, Mac n cheese and garlic tots. Kids meal - grilled cheese was below average, ranch was packed with grilled cheese and was curdled and HOT by the time I got home. Garlic tots were okay, Garlic makes everything good right? The value wasn't there. Mac n cheese had copious amounts of pepper. All in all 3/10. Maybe stick to BBQing because you guys are evidently good at that based upon all the trophies and plaques on the wall, however the restaurant game is pretty pathetic. They lack basic knowledge. Cashier drinks beer at work. Edit: didn't get to try BBQ sauce because they forgot it after I paid for it.

I finally had the opportunity to go eat at Porkchop & Bubbas bbq. I had the brisket sammich and tots. The brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor! The sammich comes plain and there is 2 types of bbq sauce and a mustard sauce on your table you can add on your own if you like sauce. The head Chef walked out of the kitchen and greeted several customers, asked them how their meal was. He gave me a small sample of the tri-tip and it was also amazing. I will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Where should I start cause from the service to the food it was off the hook. This place is so good I even came back the next day to try something different and I plan to try everything on the menu. Porkchop&bubba's will not disappoint you at all love this place for my bbq eating come check them out the owners are all nice and on top of things making sure ur dinning experience is good.

Great service and great food!!! I had the platter with Ribs, Tri-tip, slaw and Mac and cheese. Meats were spectacular and the Mac and slaw were creamy and amazing. My new favorite BBQ joint in town. Will be back!

As a BBQ competitor I have become very picky about BBQ. Until now, Salty’s was the only BBQ place in town that we would go. Now that PorkChop & Bubba’s is here, they will be my go to place. My favorite so far is the Brisket sandwich and Chili Beans.

Brandon is the best and the food is to die for. Pulled pork sandwich.......Oh my.

I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far. BBQ chicken, dirty rice, Chile beans, trip tip, pork belly and the homemade bbq sauce. But The brisket is my favorite! Can’t wait to try more items.

We ate here last night. It was AMAZING. Bako has a ton of BBQ places. I will tell you, this has become my go to!!! Food was spot on & spectacularly presented. My In-Laws are here from out of State & my Father-in-law was beyond impressed [he's a little picky] ���, anyway, glad we found this Bako gem.

This place catered our New Years dinner. Terrible food. Food was cold when served. They may be good for small groups but can’t handle a large group. Keep away from this place

Some of the best food I've had in my life. Bakersfield is lucky to call Pork Chop & Bubba's BBQ a local hometown favorite!
