Review Love Sushi - Bakersfield

I have been a customer for over a decade and have been a huge fan. I've posted some great pictures that they used. But something has changed for the WORSE! The prices didn't go up, they doubled in price!$30 for 3 simple tuna roll. The portions have shrunked by 25% and they give very little wasabi and ginger, even when I asked for extra. This sadly is my last time to LOVE SUSHI. DID THEY CHANGE OWNERSHIP?THEY ARE GOING DOWN HILL FAST. ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END. GOODBYE LOVE SUSHI ☹️

Good service! Fast and friendly service! We enjoyed our entire meal! Presentation was very nice of rolls! We spent $69 for Tempura udon, 3 sushi rolls an appetizer, and sodas! We will go back again! Friendly sushi chefs are such a nice bonus!

Today's after school snack was a poor choice on my part. It's been a while since I've been at Love Sushi, boy, things have changed. I was greeted. Happy vibe for sure. But the lack of attention and value for what I was given it was disappointing. My sushi was so transparent thin I didn't know what I was eating, even for my simple order. No ginger no wasabi. No real value for the price. I have been in places where the fish is abundant, not here. It was lonely. And over priced. Nothing is a deal. Even to share and enjoy which is the Japanese sushi experience.

Great food, my two friends and I had a wonderful lunch and tried a little of all sorts of rolls and lunch and loved the freshness and the flavors. The service was wonderful and the servers so sweet. I recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi and great service. Cheryl, Sue and Shelley

I think it’s clear that the reviews have somewhat of a split opinion on this place. We all experienced completely different service. Mine was a waste of time and inconsiderate at the very least. We waited about 1 hour for the 4 rolls of sushi, customers after us had came and gone, and we were even short 1 sushi roll but I didn’t want to wait another 30 min for a California roll. My cousins and I aren’t the type of make a scene so we kept patient. What was sad about finally receiving our rolls was that they were poorly made and falling apart by the time the lady placed them on the table. She even remarked “wake up time” as she placed the food on the table, so she knew just how long we had been waiting. No explanation or apology. We finished within 5 min of receiving our food. We wasted our time and money here. It’s pricier now and service is poor. I had to get up and ask for out receipts and push ourselves out the restaurant. Even as we left the workers said goodbye/thank you to all other customers but us. What did we ever do?🙃 Highly recommend you go to any other sushi spot here in Bakersfield.

Here from out of town, for work had to try some sushi! From photos and when looking this place up you would think its ACYE but sadly was not. This is what I ordered... it was okay. Hardly had service for it not being busy. But for the price sadly was not worth it... 😕

The best part of my meal was the miso soup. That’s unfortunate for a sushi restaurant. There were too many fillers like rice and imitation crab topped with a slither of fish that was cut thinner than the sliced ginger. Wish they cut their fish like they did with the cucumber.... For $13 these rolls tasted worse than grocery premade sushi. All the rolls had a vinaigrette that was overpowering. The complementary salad was lettuce and sauce from a Big Mac. The environment was loud and the lights made me feel like I was in a Pac-Man game. Overall, I will not be back. The pictures say it all. What a waste of money.

Enjoyed this place only because it has big sitting areas for all size parties. We had a party of seven all in one booth!😮 Servers could have been a little more attentive; and maybe a little harder to serve along with presentation, but the food was good and so were the prices.
