Review Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Bakersfield

i have never written a review for anywhere but i was just disappointed. I was there yesterday night (1/31/22) around 6:30 roughly, now just to be clear i love the food, prices could be cheaper LOL but i love this place nonetheless and have been eating here since the panama location. BUT i think the manager needs to get better at picking their workers. instantly when i walked in i was greeted by two young kids on there phones!!!!! As an owner of my own business, I understand when times are slow and you just want to go home but from the point of view from a customer, i was instantly annoyed. Luckily when i was there they did do a good job helping me but as soon as i got my drink and went to head out, there they were right back on those phones, i wasn’t surprised at the texting until i saw the boy on a phone call where all the customers can see him…

I have a great time at this Dickeys they are very friendly and knowledgeable . I ordered brisket and ribs so good. the sides were great also Mac and Cheese and slaw. love that they have QR codes for easy reviews.

I wanted to have a good Memorial Day enjoy it with some good food but these wings were just disrespectful, EXTREMELY SALTY. Their sauce and meat im not over-exaggerating STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Huge disappointment

Unprofessional employees cussing, eating, on their phones. Couldn't even give us a fork. Food was served cold. Too expensive. Won't be back.

I usually love and have a great tasting meal here but yesterday the brisket was dry and salty, the beans had no flavor and the fried okra was ok, a little salty. Very disappointed. 🙁

The very best barbecue I have had since I left the southeast. You won’t find ribs that fall off the bone like these anywhere else on the west coast.

Ordered my mom dinner on Uber eats paid 26 dollars for the meal and 36 dollars total to end up with this... Looks nothing like the pictures and the portion is for a child EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED please do better because this is unacceptable. First and last, lesson learned

Definitely not a fast food place. Waited 15 in line to order and I was the 1st person in line.

Went to the Southwest location. They are by far the best staff I have encountered in a long time. They were engaging and made the visit very enjoyable. The food is wonderful. Congrats on providing a great experience.

I'd like to say that Dickey's Barbecue is one of my favorite places to eat the staff was very nice- the atmosphere was good and the barbecue and the crushed ice made my day

The food and prices are fantastic, there's no debating that. What sets this restaurant apart is the phenomenal service we receive and watch everyone else receive when we visit. Keep it up guys! You guys and ladies are awesome!

I used to live in the Carolinas and I have eaten in many BBQ restaurants, and I can honestly say Dickeys has the Best BBQ in town.

We visited the Dickeys on coffee rd. yesterday. First time and it won't be our last. The brisket was awsome and the turkey too and I loved the pulled pork.your sauces are yummy.i also was very impressed with the sides.everything was so fresh and good. My family loved it's we got the xl family dinner Glad I did because we all loved everything.cant wait to go back. Great food!!!

The menu was hard to read. It was all over the place. The lady preparing the food was pushy and irritated I was reading the menu when there was no one in line. Food was ok!!

Changed the menu. Food was cold. Not as good as when they first opened.

Went to the Panama location tonight. Great service, Jay and Rich were very helpful dealing with our daughters food allergy.

We went for a Father's Day celebration dinner. The food was very tasty and the servings were quite large! My husband said he felt the portions were a great value. We had no idea kids ate free on Sunday so that was a happy surprise. Then our oldest read the sign about free soft serve and we didn't believe her at first! We all enjoyed a cone :-) I had a mistake on my order, but the staff generously fixed it and it was delicious. For a new establishment on opening weekend and Father's Day I was quite impressed!
