The food was really good. The order takers must have retired from the IRS. They can't answer a question about the food to save there lives. They both were indifferent and uninterested in what they were doing. The place was not busy but the food took a long time to deliver.
An oasis in the desert! Definetly Worth a stop and highly recommended on our way from LA to LV! Chicken and beef gyros were tested. The service was good and fast.
Lamb Gyro with Rice. Gyro (yee-roh) was delicious!
A must stop on the way to Vegas! Food was fresh and tasted great. Prices were a little on the high side but hey its a truck stop in the middle of no where, thats to be expected, but I felt it was still in the relm of reasonable. Cool decor too, very kitch.
Best food between LA & LV. .... Best food between LA & LV.
Get the lamb gyro with rice.
The gyro is indeed quite good, but the fries were disappointingly awful. Ore-Ida cooked at home in the oven are better.
Outstanding food, That's all I have to say about that. If your ever in Baker stop on in and get a Gyro or a Souvlaki, you won't be sorry.
Very good Gyros & fun greek decor, agree a bit pricey bit a good stop on the way to Vegas or hung over on the way home from Vegas
Must Stop!. Always a great stop when driving to vegas!
Where else are you going to get tasty Greek food @ 2am? Get the Gyros plate, if you have any room left get some desert. You'll be a happy traveler.

Love it!. We stopped here and found it to be a nice surprise! The Gyros are awesome!!!
More than I'm used to paying for Greek food, but the portions are huge! Very tasty! Glad they're open 24hrs!
Loved the falafel! The best stop from LA to Vegas... Highly recommended
I've always found it somewhat pricey, however it's a must stop on the way to Vegas!
Great Memories. Food was greasy, if you have a bad stomach, this may not be the place for you. The place is unique, and holds very special meaning to me. I would highly recommend you go there (if in the area - ha) at least once.
Best place to stop in the desert. They make a lot of their items from scratch here including the very good gyros meat. Given the options in Baker it really is a no-brainer, but the food is worth a stop.
When traveling through.... From the OC to Vegas one place I liked to stop was at the Mad Greek. I don't eat a lot of Greek food in general but this is certainly a welcome stop from the standard fast food fair you find along hiways when you are traveling.
The foot was good and tasty. Place was clean and air conditioned. I took several of the sweets with me on my way to Vegas.
Good gyro, overpriced.. $10 for their gyro (which is good, but not special in any way) seems overkill, but I would pick it over Baker's other options any day.
Really great Greek salads! Out of this world gyros sandwiches on the feshest pita bread I've ever had. We love this place and always stop by on our way to Vegas. Skip the boxed baklava though. It wasn't very fresh when we tried it.
This place is the bomb. Best gyro I've had outside of europe
Great Gyro, but...... Pack with foreign tourists and stinky, hot car butts, this place packs 'em in and spits 'em out. The food is overpriced but expected for being in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom was a joke, and the cashiers were Spanish speaking only robots imported from your neighborhood McDonalds only worse.
A Gem in the an Oasis. When traveling on the 15 on the way to Vegas from California stop by and try this place. A whole in the wall fast food place, but they have some different selections that keep you from eating your everyday fast food fair.
We got to the Mad Greek at about nine o'clock on a Wednesday night. The place was moderately busy with about thirty customers enjoying their food.
Some days when I am completely off my meds, I dream about retiring to a 14×70 double wide, in Baker, California, one of the hottest places on the planet, and home to the world's tallest thermometer. (Currently on the fritz). If you are old enough to remem
The Mad Greek Cafe is a clean and friendly, old fashion, must stop near the Worlds largest thermometer and Alien Jerry close to the freeway and gas stations.
Parking is decent and food is prepared in a timely fashion. Their Lamb Gyros are flavorful and the salad was a proper Greek complete with olives and feta as all Greek salads should have!
The statues are abundant and if you're lucky you might see the local stray cats stopping by the patio for a sip of water.
Lavish and delectable Greek joint! Amazing Milkshakes, Gyro's & other desert's. Could be considered a full-on restaurant but also fast food. Props to the overall aesthetics in this place and keeping up Greek food traditions. These guys are legitimately Mad in Greek.
This is a must stop on way to or from Vegas. The hands down best fries and gyros you will find! And they are finally open now as they were closed during pandemic. Pets welcomed as long as the outdoor part is open.

And tonight we had the Onassis Burgers, omg those are the bomb! The fries were great too, so fluffy yet crispy. Thank you again! Also we had a fountain drink, rooter, it was amazing! Sometimes fountain drinks aren't so good, but it was excellent! Great job!
Thank you for the response from the owner! I know times are hard.
Since we are sticking around for a week or so, we did go back for another try. Excellent! This time we got the large Greek salad with chicken gyro to share. What super big tasty salad it was! If you love a great salad it's a must. Plenty of red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and feta on crispy lettuce, spinach and cilantro. Came with a pepperoncini and a dolimede(stuffed grape leaf, yummy), kalamata olives, plenty of flavorful Greek vinaigrette, big lemon wedge and a super pita bread. Then the tasty chicken gyro meat on top. Definitely filled us both up and absolutely worth the $19.38+tip. I expect to be back during our stay to try some other items. The desserts and pastries look very tempting. Thank you!

It was ok. Because of the pandemic literally everything I had seen and wanted from the menu was unavailable. The lamb and beef gyro had good flavor, but the meat was quite dry and didn't get enough tzaziki to cover it. It's pretty expensive too, again I assume from the pandemic. Staff is friendly. Not bad, just not anything there, at least in these times, that I'd go back for. Masks are required at this time.
OMG, amazing food.
I had a Bacon Cheese Burger with Fries and a soft drink.
The burger was cooked fresh and to order. The Tomatoes, Lettuce, red onions, and pickles were fresh and crisp.
Then the Fries are fresh cut and fried. Will definitely come back the next time I come through Baker.
Great food and great memories but the restaurant needs refreshing. We concocted a Gyro-Freta-Fries by adding an $8 side of Gyro meat to the Feta Fries, which was totally worth it, and should be on the menu. And of course we had to add a Fresh Strawberry Shake.
Great food. I had not been there for about 8 years, and I made a point to stop just for the Baklava even though I had to wait two hours for them to open at 8:00 am.
It did not disappoint. I it my Baklava and a couple egg and sausage sandwiches made with pita bread. Mmm good.
This is a great little restaurant, lots of truck parking. Eat in or take out.
