Excellent employees that were all very helpful and nice. The coffees were great. The ice cream flavors were great. The amount you get is a good amount. We bought one medium sized one and it was perfect for us 2. Price is pretty good for what you get. You will have to walk to get here. There is street parking just a few feet away. Overall, a great place to get your ice cream and Starbucks coffee.
Visited this place every day during our recent stay at Catalina Island. Scoops has the BEST home made ice cream on this island. I saw signs about their French Brioche and had to try that. If you do trust me you wont be disappointed. I ordered the French Brioche with a scoop of Triple Chocolate and frozen strawberries + Oreo crumbles + chocolate syrup and this was the best thing I ever had. It was delicious. I still crave for it and cant find it anywhere I live in WA.
This place can have a long wait time so be prepared if you plan to grab one before boarding your ferry. The staff is friendly and there is a Starbucks in the same spot if you want to grab some coffee with your ice cream. All in all I loved their French brioche and would highly recommend this place for anyone who visits Catalina.
If you are visiting catalina Island and would like to have ice cream this place is good.
They have various options to try out. We tried vanilla bean, toasted coconut and banana pudding. Banana Pudding was the best.
They also have a small Starbucks inside the store which can be busy on weekends so be prepared to wait.
The staff is friendly and took care of all our requests and questions we had while selecting the Ice cream flavor.
Good stop for ice cream if you’re in Avalon.
I stopped by Scoops before catching the ferry back. The ice cream was in the metal tins and the gelato was in the display case.
I got a single scoop since I really was just craving a plain vanilla. The other gelato flavors looked so good though- especially the raspberry sorbet. They also had a sampler where you could get 3 flavors for not much more than a single scoop.
I got a single scoop of vanilla with gummy bears on top in a cup. For $6 a bit pricy for ice cream but it just hit the spot. It melted a little quick but had the right amount of vanilla bean and a pretty good texture. I think may have been better in a cone.
The atmosphere is very accommodating. The staff are friendly and nice. However, they do not let you try any of the ice creams which is understandable so if you want to try it, you’ll have to buy it. On the other hand, i don’t think any of them taste bad. The Gelato is what we have and i think it tasted better than a regular ice cream.

Scoops certainly had a different consistency than other ice cream I have had. They have ice cream and gelato flavors. Samples weren’t allowed, and the menu online vastly differed from what was available in person.
The consistency was thick and closer to icy than creamy, but still good. The fruit gelatos make for a refreshing flavor on a hot summer day. The oreo cookies and cream wasn’t anything special, just a normal cookies and cream flavor. Not often do I see banana pudding though.
Stop whatever youre doing and get the catalina island crepe. Its out of this world delicious and comes with one scoop of any flavor of icecream you would like. I got it with the very best homemade pistachio ice cream. Lines move fast. They also offer breakfast and starbucks here. Definitely stop by if you are on the island
We enjoyed breakfast here. We ordered avocado toast, a Nutella crepe & fresh orange juice. It was amazing! Everything was fresh & delicious. The service was quick & everyone was very friendly & helpful. It was the perfect breakfast to enjoy across the street on the beach.
Very nice ice cream place that's facing the water. They had my favorite flavor, mint chocolate chip. Got some and relaxed by the sand. They also have Syarbucks coffee if anyone wants it (I didn't order at the time I went).
Best dessert in town! Gelato was amazing! Only issue I had was they say open til 8pm and went by at 7:05pm and they were locked up and closed. Had plans for dessert after dinner and was let down by Scoops. Change your times online if you are not going to stay open. I was not the only vacationer who was let down that night
Amazing ice cream.
We got the rocky road and cookies & cream. The portions for a single scoop are okay for the price but is made worth it because the the ice cream itself is very good. It is loaded with pieces of Oreo/marshmallow/etc.
My girlfriend loves rocky road and said it was the best she ever had.

Cute little ice cream gelato shop in Avalon. Hard to miss when getting off the ferry. Service is quick and friendly too. I got a sampler since I wasn't too hungry, but wanted something sweet and refreshing. This hit the spot!
