Tortilleria Rio Grande - Austin - Photo album

We decided to make tacos one night and wanted some fresh, homemade tortillas so we stopped in here after seeing it in passing. The girl working the counter was friendly and helpful as we had several questions. We picked up a pack of corn tortillas as well as an order of rice and some of their red
Wanted to try some tortillas from here, so gave it a chance with their tacos. Overall the filling were bland and the Salsas couldn't redeem them (the green was particularly good). Wasn't thrilled but if it was convenient might stop in. Better options can be found in the hood.
This place is a hidden gem. Best gorditas in Austin hands down. They have the best green avocado salsa I have tasted. If you want an authentic Mexican experience this Tortilleria is the place to go.
Wow BEST TRIPAS WE’VE EVER HAD Al Mojo de Ajo BEST EVER WORTH EVERY PENNY and FAT LARGE SHRIMP!NICE presentation with Russian salad Spanish rice coleslaw salad topped with orange slices lemon wedges I will never go anywhere else but here NOT TO MENTION THE TORTILLAS BOTH CORN AND FLOUR MADE FRESH
Good menudo it's always packed on Sunday mornings the cashiers for sure not the nicest they don't even greet you.
I've been there for 2 times already and the food was great, not so crowded like the other location in North Austin where takes about 20 minutes to get service, in this location I only waited 5 minutes, is getting a little bit expensive but other than that the food was great.
This is my favorite breakfast taco place. The white cheese and grilling the taco is awesome. The salsa they have is great and I’d try them all if you haven’t.
Mmmm, loved the menudo, very tasty. Only been there once so far.
Good tacos but they over charged me quite a bit on a large order. They charged me almost 4$ a taco for the potato taco that it listed at 1.83$ on their menu. I ordered 10 of these. Check your receipt before leaving on large orders.
This place is super underrated and I kinda like it that way. Only the Mexicans in south Austin seem to know about it but they line up at lunch at dinner time. The tacos r fantastic! I recommend the guisado de puerco en chile verde, carne asada and picadillo ones in particular. I've also had the nop
So much genuine hospitality! Even though we rolled up close to closing, we were welcomed and encouraged to take our time. The food was amazing. My husband couldn’t stop talking about the mole. We live in Virginia, but the next time we’re in Austin, we’ll swing by this spot.
Authentic, delicious tacos that come in at less than $4 a piece? $2 for a bag of house-made tostadas? Hell yeah! All that & a friendly bilingual staff makes TRG2 our new "local."
Basic legit Mexican fare. Not TexMex. Nothing fancy here. Good chicken enchiladas. Great housemade chips. The chile relleno which is stuffed with cheese is good too.
The homemade tortillas are always amazing HERE! I haven't tried anything else but if you're looking for great tasting tortillas.... This should be your go to! IG GodSentRed TikTok RedVee1970
¡Muy delicioso! The tortillas were being cooked in front of my place at the bar as I enjoyed better tacos than any local hipster joints in Austin and at a much better price. Don’t come for the decor. It’s all about great food here. Nice staff too. I wish I got down to this part of town more often.
Tortilleria Rio Grande 2 is one of the best places to join stuffed gorditas with any kind of meat and fresh corn tortillas!! I really love the gorditas with: Chicharron prensado. Chicharron en salsa verde. Nopales y puerco en Chile rojo. Carne deshebrada. Y queso con rajas. But they have more se
Don’t pass this spot by. Great fresh made corn and flour tortillas from the tortilla factory part of the business. Taqueria side of the business turns out great food. Enjoyed both red chicken mole gorditas and deshebrada/shredded beef tacos.
