Texican Cafe - Austin - Photo album

Come for the salsa, stay for the enchiladas! They have an extensive menu that will suite any tastes and dietary restrictions. I highly recommend the chipotle chicken enchiladas or the green chili enchiladas (not spicy but flavorful). The servers are great and can accommodate any size party. Speaking
Great chips and salsa, then it gets better from there. Very well done texmex. Service has always been excellent. Prices are good.
The service is great, it's my favorite restaurant, and the food is so good. They get a waiter almost after you get comfortable. The place is clean with music in the background. And you can even watch sports near the bar. I have always loved the place so it's a solid 5 stars. Take out is fast if you
My family has been going to the Texican sense I was a child. The food is ALWAYS good! Good drinks good atmosphere I love texican!
Texican Cafe nails the Tex-Mex experience with flavorful dishes and a welcoming ambiance. The enchiladas are a personal favorite, and the salsa has just the right amount of spice. It's my go-to spot when I'm craving authentic and satisfying Mexican cuisine in Austin.
Huge restaurant space and quite good food. Tried extreme and signature margaritas and they were good. Platter turned out to be good option with a good presentation. Tried their Miga, fajitas, enchiladas and all were ok. Staff was friendly in explaining things and it was quick service.
Our waiter first off was outstanding. He got every detail of our order correct and was attentive and tend to our part perfectly. The food was prepared as we requested and brought out at the perfect temperature for eating. The ingredients tasted fresh, well prepared, and very tasty. We have vi
This is in Austin tradition that has been around for as long as I can remember. The food is delicious! It has been consistently delicious for at least 35 years. The service is always great and I love the fact that they offer a margarita flight if you can't make up your mind, lol 😂
Read another poster's positive review about this restaurant so I had to check it out since my husband was in the mood for Mexican food. So glad we went because the food was good. I ordered soft shell chicken tacos with white cheese ... no complaints. My husband ordered the San Antonio enchiladas
Good Mexican food and decent prices. Texican Cafe has a good kids menu too. They have a full bar with plenty of margaritas and beers to choose from. It can get a little busy on the weekends. So just plan a little for that.
Good solid Mexican restaurant. Food is good, variety of margaritas and beers. Servers seem to be running a round a bit, might be short staffed this last time there. We go about once a month.
This Mexican restaurant is a true standout in terms of both food quality and family-friendly service. The quesadillas alone are worth the visit, but the entire dining experience will leave you eager to return for more. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, make sure to put this place at the top of you
Overall, it was a great experience here. The atmosphere is chill and the food is good. The drinks are pretty good with a great level of alcohol 🍸. I would be back for sure to make sure, and I will actually take pictures of my food next time.
Great atmosphere, food hasn't disappointed yet. Service could be a little better, but that will always vary. The San Antonio enchiladas are my go to.
Started out nice, we were seated where nobody else was close to us, but before we even ordered we had noisy groups seated on each side of us that made it impossible to have any kind of quiet conversation between 3 of us. The food was awesome as always tho! 👍
Our server did a great job handling the size of our group. We had about 16 people. He/they waited for everyone to arrive and patienly took our orders correctly by ticket. I feel likes or food came out quickly and correct. He/they was/were very attentive in making sure we were "doing okay". My only
Really great food and great service from James! I had the Chipolte Chicken Enchiladas and my guest has beef fajita tacos. Both were EXCELLENT. I highly recommend. Plus, I love that there are privacy dividers between each booth and that the restaurant is very clean.
This is my favorite spot in South Austin for those days where I just want to eat some really food fajitas and sit in a dark, quiet booth and not be bothered for a while. Service is efficient and non-intrusive and I really appreciate how they just let you relax and not bother you. This place reminds
