This is the most chill and roomy coffee shop I’ve found in town. No smugness either, second room in the back is super quiet. Only thing is they do seem to run out of food, but if they do you can always grab a bite at H-Mart and come back.

A jewel of a place if you need to work and have excellent coffee. They've expanded to the space next door, it's like a WeWork spot for the price of a cup of coffee. I opted to come here instead of Starbucks nearby.

Amazing little coffee shop right off 183 and lakeline Blvd. Wide selection of caffeinated beverages. You want something, they can do it. Cheaper then Starbucks and a thousand times better. They got salads and sandwiches, ice cream, snacks, doughnuts and muffins. Glad I came across this hidden gem

The coffee is delicious! I'm always in a rush and when I need to get coffee quickly, I always stop by here. The service is fast and friendly and the drinks are a flavorful. If you need a quick pick-me-up for some delicious coffee, definitely stop by Joels.

I love this place! It's laid-back, all drinks can be made-to-order (I like half the syrup), and they use REAL chocolate in their drinks--makes all the difference!! AND they have gourmet chocolates and bread to have with your coffee. Delicious!

My best friend brought me to Joel's when I was visiting from Houston, and I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! We visited three times during my short visit to Austin. The first time, I ordered a Nutella latte, which was super delicious. On the second visit, Dan showed us the secret menu, which was hilarious, and I ordered the only actual drink on the secret menu, the French Vanilla (not to be confused with the Vanilla French). It was a hazelnut and vanilla latte, which tasted like butterscotch. On the third and final visit of my stay in Austin, I was staring at the ice cream, and Dan recommended an affogado. There's nothing better than the combination of butter pecan ice cream and hot espresso! Tldr: Go to Joel's. It's tasty.

Every drink I've tried here is phenomenal. Almond Joy with cinnamon, Iced Chai Latte, Nutella Latte, Cherry Sencha Iced Tea...it's all phenomenal!
Our barista, Dan, is also phenomenal. After our first visit, Dan recognized us by name and drink selection. This man knows his beverages, and will provide valuable insight. Give him all the tips!
Oh, and don't forget to ask for the SECRET menu...

I love coming to Joel's before work everyday. All the baristas are funny and wonderful. The coffee is amazing. I always enjoy the atmosphere. I come here literally everyday before work and I love it!

This is an awesome place with great owners and staff. We have been coming here for years and I can say the customer service with Dan is the BEST. The recently started making salads and sandwiches which are great! The salads are definitely the best, and I am not a salad lover but I eat them here. Brad has some of the freshest ingredients around and the oil and vinegar salad dressing is amazing
