Lula Maes' Catering And Bar-b-q - Austin - Photo album

First time here and I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Perfectly smoked, massive porch chop sandwich for only $6. It must have been close to a pound. The owner was so kind and took extra care to put on the perfect ratio of sauce and mustard and hand sliced pickles since they only had who
A hidden gem inside of a Citgo gas station. The barbecue is crazy good. The smell permeates your car when you drive by. The brisket is juicy and flavorful. The sausage is delicious times 10. You owe it to yourself to stop by.
Absolutely amazing Brisket. Juicy and flavorful. Definitely don't miss this spot. The best in Austin by far.
Had the brisket sandwich here - was tasty beyond what words can describe. So delicious and will be back!
Ribs and turkey legs here are great. I've also purchased the pork chop sandwich in the past. It's also a great deal. The Q here is always flavorful and good. The couple is always nice and attentive. Best small BBQ joint in town by far. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is it takes
Awesome customer service and amazing food! I had the two meat combo with Brisket & Sausage with Mac & Cheese and Green Beans. They were all seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also tried the Peach Cobbler and let me tell you, I was in heaven! I will definitely be making this a lunch spot more often.
Fantastic barbecue. One outside table, but it was raining so we ate in the car. VERY tasty.
Every time i come here i enjoy the food and the size portions. Today i got a pork chop and sausage sandwich and it looks delicious. Awesome service
Very nice lady with some delicious pork chop sandwich and peach cobbler. I finally decided to stop by there as I been craving BBQ Pork Chops and she's the only one in the area that has it on the menu. The size was very well proportioned for the price of $5.50 for the sandwich. Well worth the price.
This is my favorite neighborhood bbq joint; I love her food and her friendly welcome!
The location threw me off at first, but this was far from any gas station food I have ever had. Their chicken was possibly the best I have ever had— perfect moistness with an amazing smokiness throughout. And that could really explain all the meats I tried (brisket, chicken, and chops). Definitely s
Delicious food in a convenience store without seating is what this is about. Get your sack of grub, grab a beer from the excellent selection in the Brew Market, and know why life is good! The BBQ is outstanding. Pork chops, brisket, chicken, turkey legs and ribs. Call for what’s available that day.
My best friend and I came to Austin for some R&R from Fort Worth and Houston. I searched for a list of black-owned food places to satisfy our desire for good food for the weekend! We saw smoked turkey legs on the menu of Lula Mae’s Barbeque and off we went. You could smell the smoke when we drove u
Don't be intimidated by the gas station store front, there is good BBQ to had. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. She sat me down and had me try just about everything on the menu. Stars of the show were the pork ribs, sausage, mac n cheese, potato salad, and green beans. Honorable mention to t
This food is on point. I bad the BBQ chicken with 2 sides being macaroni and cheese and green breans. Everything was very flavorful and the cook was so nice and sweet. The place is named after her mother and she would be so proud of you ma'am. I would recommend. Try the ribs on Friday and Saturday!
I was looking at the East Austin BBQ scene and decided to take a gamble. The location is tight for parking and it is take-out only, but don't let that stop you because the BBQ is excellent. I was given a sample of a pork rib while I was in line, and it was melt-in-your mouth tender and flavorful. It
Hidden jem in Austin. I tried miss Anna's brisket sandwich. Very good. Her rub had just right amount of heat. Her BBQ sauce just right visit vinegar and sweetness. I highly recommend to stop on in. The next time I go I want try the pork chops I've herd so much about.
This is some of the best BBQ ever. Perfect smoke and flavor ....the brisket melts in your mouth. Now I want to try everything. Chicken and Sausage with Banana pudding is next. You can tell she is a master of her craft and makes it with love. Don't wait. Go now.
