Review Hyderabad House - Austin

The food here is great. You get your standard regular or spicy options, but they also have Indo Chinese food, which I love. Tried the chicken drums of heaven or chicken lollipops, and they were nice and crispy. Also tried the baby corn appetizer, they were not baby corn that you can see typically in Chinese foods dishes, but they were very good and spicy AF!! I still could not stop myself from eating it even though my mouth was on fire, it was so good. Then, I tried the dom chicken biryani and the egg style biryani, which were all great. The service can be a bit slow. You can order whatever you want quickly, but it's's the waiting on the food that takes the longest. I do highly recommend eating here, it's definitely good stuffs.

Sat down for some great food during the soft opening. The food sported a more unique flavor than other Indian restaurants but it was delicious. The garlic Naan was good and both the veg and non-veg dishes were great! However, I wish they had water glasses with refills instead of water bottles.

Food was really good at this place. It tasted like authentic hyderabadi food. We got Nawabi mutton biryani, Raju gari kodi pulav, monagadi chicken, chai and double ka meetha. Everything came out fast. The monagadi chicken appetizer was very tasty with a nice spicy masala to it. Our favorite was the pulav, we enjoyed it better than their special biryani. The pulav had big chicken peices with flavorful rice. The quantities were huge for their price point. We enjoyed our Irani chai too. The food was spicy without us mentioning it and it suited our spice levels correctly.

Excellent food and great choice of Biryani if you like. The taste is awesome 👍 everything we ordered. I will definitely visit here again. Only reason I gave 1 star less is because of their service. May be it is Friday or they are short staffed or the person serving us but it was considerably slow to even take order.

This is one of the most beautifully designed Indian restaurants in Austin. Normally Indian restaurants don’t have the best interiors, but this restaurant has spent no expense, and this amplifies your experience couple with a great food. I know that the restaurant has just opened, and that’s why they may be struggling to serve the huge crowd of people that was there when we went on a Sunday afternoon. For the sake of Austin, I hope that they continue to improve their service and keep up with the good food. We ordered goat dum biryani and Vijayawada chicken special biryani. We also ordered Tawa fish, and this was the best dish that we tasted. Reminded me of the amazing Thawa fish that I have eaten in Dhanush Kodi Tamil Nadu was pleasantly surprised to see Chikoo milkshake of course we ordered that as well.

Having recently learned about this new establishment from friends, my hopes were high, especially given Austin's limited options for quality Indian cuisine. While the place did not quite live up to the extravagant hype, I did find myself content with the dining experience, particularly the food. Venturing with a sizable group, we embarked on a culinary journey by ordering a variety of dishes, including the Nawabi Chicken Biryani, Afghan Chicken Masala, Veg Kheema Biryani, Viajayawada Paneer Biryani, and Veg Dum Biryani. The Afghan Chicken, coupled with warm Naan, emerged as the standout dish, boasting an impressive burst of flavors with the ideal level of spiciness. The Veg Kheema Biryani and Veg Dum Biryani further delighted our taste buds with their rich and savory profiles. Regrettably, our excitement was dampened by the Nawabi Chicken Biryani and Viajayawada Paneer Biryani, both of which claimed to be spicy but fell short in delivering the anticipated heat. Mixing in the provided Salan offered a slight improvement, yet the overall experience remained lackluster. Additionally, we treated ourselves to the delights of badam milk and chickoo shake, both of which I wholeheartedly recommend. The assortment of sweets available at the counter also proved to be a pleasant surprise, showcasing the culinary diversity on offer. Nonetheless, certain aspects proved to be detractors. The waiting system, or lack thereof, left me disheartened. The absence of a clear queue system resulted in a 45-minute wait, during which we were compelled to repeatedly approach the counter for updates. Given the bustling Sunday lunch hour, the crowd was understandable, but the service left much to be desired. A half-hour delay in food service and erroneous dish deliveries for two items further highlighted the service shortcomings. Despite my overall enjoyment of the delectable fare, the subpar service experience remains a sticking point. I contemplate a return visit primarily for the food, but I'm inclined towards opting for takeout to bypass the burdensome wait time and flawed service system that currently taint the restaurant's potential.

This might be my new favorite Indian restaurant. They have wide variety of Hyderabadi style biryanis, Pulavs, and appetizers. Don’t miss on their desserts. Chikoo delight is my favorite one and I don’t think you can find it anywhere in Austin except here. Good ambience, relatively quick service. I would appreciate if the middle aged cashier would be little bit cordial. Serving can be greatly improved.

Food was delicious and little spicier end but for spicy lovers they would love wide variety of Biryani’s here. Appetizers were great and treat to our eyes and apollo fish was oily, had too much color added to it.Ambience was great too.

We got food delivered to our Diwali Party in south Austin. The food was fresh, tasty, piping hot and a very generous quantity. Delivery guy was very professional and polite. I would not hesitate a bit to spend money for next party food catering from this place. It’s awesome experience.

The chicken lollipops were really juicy and delicious. The service was friendly and fast, which made the experience even better. I enjoyed the atmosphere and I'm excited to visit again. Plus, my vegan friend had plenty of good options, which was awesome! I highly recommend it. :)

Hyderabad House catered our wedding for 400 guests. We loved their buffet and dinner menu the multiple times my family tried it, and my father spoke to the owner about catering for our wedding. The food was great, and everyone at the wedding raved about it! Hyderabad house is great for your buffet, a la carte, and catering needs!

Hyderabad House: The worst place where u can't trust the team working there that what they are serving u?? Most unprofessional and unethical. No respect to vegetarians and they can serve u chicken in the name of vegetarian and that too in the auspicious name of Diwali festival. Such place should be close when they are so insensitive towards the moral value n can't respect vegetarian. The worst place I have ever visited in my life.
