El Nuevo Mexico - Austin - Photo album

Stopped into this spot after big star bingo and was pleasantly surprised with the food and level of service. We got the stuffed avocado and grande burrito covered with queso. Both plates packed great flavors and we also enjoyed the red salsa with chips which they give you as a complementary appetize
Great dishes served on hot plates, fresh fruit, and friendly staff. I love their green sauce and the pretty much everything they serve is fantastic. The place is popular and a local favorite. Large screens for watching the Austin FC game. I'll be back.
Excellent Mexican food, as expected from the brand. I think they might have the Bastrop location beat... ;-)
Very good food, nice place to eat and after I ordered the food , it arrives immediately I'm talking about virtually no wait time and it was hot and it was good the salsa was hot and spicy and not salty and watery it was very good salsa , so go see what I'm talking about for yourselves enjoy !
This past Friday I was with my equally elderly friend, who is very fragile, and in my rush to get her in and seated, I had accidentally parked a bit closer to the line on the passenger side than I should have. The person who later parked beside us then backed in at an angle and parked so close (inc
Amazing service, good quality food. Cute low-key place with good music and drinks. Mexican martini for Tuesday happy hour was only $8 for a good amount. Chile relleno with carnitas was amazing. Carne asada was chewy but flavorful. Fair prices. Think we found our new spot!
Top notch old school TexMex. Everything is homemade. Best flour and corn tortillas anywhere. This is the taste of authentic local Austin/San Antonio style Mexican food. I eat here all the time and it's always good. The lunch special is the best. The beef chili gravy burrito and chicken Verde enchila
Great service, tasty food, singers were fun. I want to try for breakfast someday.
I came here for breakfast and had the chilaquiles plate with salsa verde. Chilaquiles are crispy tortilla chips covered in spicy green sauce, topped with queso fresco and sour cream. The plate also came with two eggs (I asked for mine sunny side up), refried beans and breakfast potatoes on the side.
Authentic food with fresh ingredients. Many delicious, diet conscious items to choose from! My favorite is the black bean bowl. The chips and salsa are excellent and so is the service! El Nuevo Mexico is my family's go-to restaurant in North Central Austin!
This is one of our favorite go to spots. It’s family run and you can tell from the service you get here. The workers smile and always are respectful to make sure you are happy with the food and overall experience. Highly recommend!
Fajitas & margaritas were our goal, and El Nuevo delivered! We enjoyed their Bastrop location's catering a month ago at a small country wedding in Bastrop County, so we had to check out their Austin location as well. It was definitely up to snuff. The beef fajitas are so tender and flavorful, I thin
This place has the best bistec and al pastor tacos in Austin. There are so many over hyped taco places in Austin that are "good" but not mouth watering. Not here. I was shocked by how good these are and how I had not heard of this place before.
Great service. The shredded chicken enchilada plate was delicious. You'll want to keep downing their salsa. If I lived in Austin, I would make Friday nights El Nuevo nights.
I love sitting on their patio with a margarita, chips with salsa and their veggie quesadilla 🤤🧀🍹 Love the chill vibe of this place!
Enjoyed a refreshing Frozen Margarita along with the combination plate with crispy Beef Taco, cheese enchilada and tamale with rice and charro beans! Delicious!
I have a great time every time I come here! The servers are so kind and the food is always a hit, never a miss. Plus, the margaritas are pretty fire 🔥! Never judge a restaurant by its exterior. This place might look like it's a bit older, but it has a really great vibe to it and the atmosphere is v
Classic texmex comfort food with great salsa; it actually has some heat! They have burgers and what not for the less adventurous kiddos, too.
Excellent food. Spicy salsa. Great drinks and nice service.
