They are very friendly at counter. They are also very efficient. Be prepared to be asked about the peppers (sweet or hot) as an addition.
Sandwiches come in two sizes. Regular and large. The large is HUGE! The bread is delicious!
The sandwiches are generously filled with meat and vegetables. I actually took some out and made a second sandwich!
Ice is served in a small cooler on a counter rather than thru a soda machine. This restaurant offers canned or bottled drinks, plus iced tea. There's no soda machine.
They prepare the sandwiches in a kitchen; you can see them thru a long window.
Your number is called when order is ready. When I picked up mine they thanked me. That was really nice.
I greatly recommend Delaware Subs!

Tucked into a small strip mall but supposed to be an Austin legend for 41 years. It didn't disappoint and I can't say that for every sub shop that's on the 'best' list for Austin. I got the large Italian deluxe and it is huge probably 16in and loaded with meat. Definitely worth it for the money almost $16. Guy at the counter was the owner and apologized for the wait, but it's game day, very sweet man, would definitely recommend this place. I like the hot sauce at Hoody's better but a solid sub shop, I'll be back to test their philly:)

I haven't had these subs in years and MAN THEY WERE SO GOOD! Service was so good and the chef did a great job. Bread was soft and the Philly cheese steak was delicious. The meatballs were so big! Definitely going back.

Known for their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It is good, maybe the best in Austin but if they don’t offer whiz to me it’s not the real thing. Staff lacked professionalism/friendliness which makes me think ok these guys are from Philly so that checks a box for sure. I’ll be back for the sandwich again. Would recommend to friends and introverts.

I've lived in Texas my entire life. I don't know anything about cheese sticks. Because no one told me they could be this awesome. You need to try out this awesome unassuming little sub shop. It will blow your mind

I discovered Delware Subs way back in 1994 when I was in HS & I now go there once a week to eat my favorite a “Large Italian Sandwich”. I highly recommend visiting Delware subs.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and I always get the same thing. Philly Cheesesteak all the way with peppers and mushrooms. Hands down best in Austin! Here’s to another 20! I’m a fan!

The Philly tastes great and is a good value for the portion. I don't know why I haven't come here in the four years I've been in the area, but it definitely won't be a one-off.

I worked at this location for several years. I'm originally from Philadelphia and when I tell you that this is by FAR the best Philly Cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia I mean it. I am a Chef and was literally blown away by the quality of the cheesesteaks. They even make a chicken cheesesteak which is phenomenal. But I highly recommend that if you are craving a GREAT CHEESESTEAK do not go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and go to Delaware Subs. It has been years since I've worked there but I would not go anywhere else for a cheesesteak. My signature order is mayo, double meat double cheese onions and sweet peppers.
Promise you will not ever go anywhere else for a cheesesteak again.
Plus a good variety of many other sandwiches all with freshly sliced meats and cheeses.
Don't be surprised if there is a line out the door it is well worth the wait and price.

Philly cheesesteak is legit. Just gotta go with the sizemore, double meat and cheese. Nice and greasy.

We have been getting take out from Delaware Subs for many years now. We love their Philly cheesesteak. Never been disappointed. Only negative is the price. It was $32 for 2 sandwiches which seems a bit pricey, however we haven’t found any place that can beat the quality for this tasty steak sandwich.

Walked in and was greeted very warmly. I have missed the hoagies from Philly/DE for the last 9 years. This place did not disappoint. The bread and all ingredients were exactly as I remember. Fresh and overflowing. Best hoagie in Austin. I will be back to try more of their sandwiches!

They were open when it was 31 degrees out and Subway Sandwiches was closed. I got to experience two awesome subs from this excellent place today. The Philly and the meatball. Both rocked my world. I added the mushrooms and onions which was a great idea but I made the mistake of adding the hot peppers. They are great but overwhelming. They really loaded them on. Haha. After scraping most of them off it was perfect.
