Hao Hao Restaurant

Been visiting Hao Hao for 20+ yrs, solid family run biz, Chinese and Vietnamese menus- consistent and reliable. Kevin and Linh treat everyone like family and take the time to visit with regulars. VERY casual low key environment - no big fancy dining room- come as you are. Vietnamese Sweet and Sour Soup/ Chicken in Spicy Black Bean sauce/ Spicy Tofu...stand out - but hard to go wrong....don't overlook the Vietnamese menu. Negatives? Not a fan of them being closed on Saturdays recently( post covid) - but I'll cope.

My brother told me he eats here often, so I decided to give it a shot. After my first visit I can say that if my family and I lived nearby this would be a weekly stop for us! Walking in I immediately noticed everybody was very friendly, and the restaurant is clean and well kept. The food was excellent- from the soup to the eggroll everything was prepared just right and with great flavors! Even the tea was nice and strong, which is a big pet peeve for me (too many places serve watered down and flavorless tea). Obviously this is a spot people come back to a lot because many other patrons were greeted by name, and their typical orders were remembered! I will definitely be back anytime I work in the area!

They are my personal standard I compare every other similar restaurants or food services who provide same or similar cuisine & dishes & other items. Haven’t ever had better sweet & sour sauce anywhere ever nor from any store brands. In fact they have pretty much maintained my personal high & very picky & very particular expectations, desires, satisfaction, cravings, & blissful content with everything I have ever eaten regularly b/c it’s my favorites or even in trying new dishes & tastes & flavors & they are literally who I compare every place similar or somewhat the same to in every aspect & manner not just with their food & I have never actually enjoyed or been as content with another place whether or not their menus.& foods were on some level equally satisfying & good with slight differences & variations. This place is like an extension of dining in your own family home or where ever you are most comfortable at dining or stuffing your face at in private at… it’s not just their great menu & choices & the wonderful food they serve it’s their real genuine connection & the remarkably friendly & pleasant quaint calm & personable characteristics & personalities & the loving attentive joy & pride they not only exude from their own selves & radiating from the atmosphere that you feel no sooner you walk thru or call to place an order b/c they are just very light & have that heart felt genuine & very real trust worthy humble & unashamed self embracing & homey atmosphere like professional extended family & like I said they exude & radiate this consistently & in every possible manner. I have been ‘em dining with them since they first opened when I was in 9th grade & am now a few years shy of turning 50 & I absolutely love them & their restaurant & cherish this place they make up apart of what I always find is included in my idea of what is my home & where my heart will always be apart of & I can’t say that about any other places except Conan’s Pizza & maybe 3 other places even though even those still can’t bring home to that home atmosphere feel I experience with Hao Hao. They are better than just 5 star ratings for me even if they aren’t some fancy over priced dress code reservation top notch arrogant chef who caters to his own style rather than to his servitude to the people & their pallets. Just in different leagues but with out all the wrapping paper & shiny polished corporate hoopla. You don’t have to dress up or pay an arm & a leg or be Leary about your order or finding a place to sit or park or waiting in some outrageous line just to dine for 20 or 30 min meal on rush hours. & they make you feel welcome important & at home & want to make you enjoy your experience in every way & if anything displeases you they do not ever get dismissive rude or unpleasant or arrogant.

Hao Hao is great! We have been getting our fix here since 1993. The owners are really great at making you feel special. Even when we just call in an order, the care is there. And then there's the FOOD! We haven't had every dish on the menu, but of all the ones we have had Hao Hao has never disappointed. Do yourself a favor and place an order. You will definitely be happier with something from Hao Hao in your tummy.
