Cool place with various items and art in a historic building.
Saturday was the only day I had to get those little items for everybody when you're travelling plus a few post cards (I know, who mails post cards any more? Apparently, I do). There was a parade in downtown Austin on 6th, I think, and a block on either side was also blocked off. So all of the parki
This spot has so much to offer! Part gallery, if you are looking for unique artwork from local artists, this is probably the best place in Austin. Part museum, there is a lot of information regarding Austin and the family that owned the bakery. And part visitors center, if you are a tourist and u
This place is popular with tourists since it across the street from the State capitol. It supports local artists with handcrafted merchandise and an upstairs art gallery. It has been recently remodeled and is beautiful.
I make handmade jewelry and they made it easy for me to sell a number of items and see the other local handmade art work. The only problem I had was that of any shop and that was from petty theft. Earrings are easy to steal.
Very informative place with great history about Austin. Wonderful exhibit of photos at the time and a nice assortment of items to purchase. Will with the time to stop and visit.
Volunteer-staffed and uniquely Texan, the Old Bakery is a hot spot for tourists and jaded Austinites alike. I liked the original artwork donning the ways and the variety of locally created crafts. I liked the recycled paper table top Christmas trees for sale.
One of the symbols of Texas. Now you can buy some nice souvenirs there and it's especially interesting for the tourists. I'm proud that we have it in our city!
Interesting history about its former usage
Definitely worth a peak inside for some local history.
Beautiful historical building and gift shop with unique one of a kind hand crafted items made by local artists
A great place to buy nice souvenirs - vs. the trinkety stuff on 6th street. Nice service!
You can find an eclectic collection of souvineers & art decor pieces!
Nice place to visit and learn history of Austin
