Austin local and Mexican citizen here, I came in strictly for the barbacoa (gordita) and while it was an 8/10 (Gordita was bland but the table salt and salsa made up for it, I added a generous amount of salsa every bite) the whole experience could’ve been better. Dirty menus and no chips for the pricy lunch plates was disappointing. We ate as fast as we could since it was a bit slow and boring inside. If you’re a family of 10+, the space will accommodate you but most plates were around $14. My Italian American fiancé got 2 chorizo bean cheese tacos on flour and while he enjoyed them, the tortillas wouldn’t pass my quality test. I won’t be coming back to dine in but would consider them to order over the phone and pick up barbacoa tacos or order the pound of barbacoa when in a rush. It was perfectly proportioned with low amounts of fat

Excellent place to stop and eat. The food here reminds me of home cooked meals as a child. Everything we tried was delicious and so fresh too. Our service was amazing too, our server made great recommendations and was very attentive to our needs. This place is great for any meal as they serve food all day.

Pretty decent food. I stopped in here for lunch with my coworker as everywhere else was crowded on a Friday afternoon. Their lunch special was priced just right and was about the perfect size for a semi hungry construction worker. The Margaritas were meh but be sure to ask for the green hot sauce for your chips. It is a creamy green sauce that far surpasses the house salsa that they serve you.

The machacados con juevos were perfect. This is one of my favorite traditional mexican breakfasts that I crave. It was perfect. Look out for the un expected surcharge for chips with those eggs before 10 am!!! I was charged $5.00 just for a small bag of chips after they "offered the salsa" immediatly after seating me, for free. Then hit me for $$ after I asked if chips came with the salsa!!!!
Eventually they reversed the charges, but this was no cheap meal, after chip charge was reversed, my bill for one person was $24.00 with tip. Good food, good service, worth it.

Delicious food; very poor margaritas; TONS of flies interrupting our meal but it was really really tasty. Our waitress was very nice .
