Sandwich and chips for under $10. The staff are pretty friendly and even when it's busy the wait isn't too long. I usually get the chicken salad or the New York Italian. They make your sandwich right in front of you and I very much preferg it to Subway.
I wish the corn and green chilli soup would come back!

Today was my first time here and when I walked in and was immediately greeted with enthusiasm! The gentleman helped me select a sandwich and chatted with me while he made it! I got an Italian (get it spicy!) And their wonderful carrot cake! Thanks so much Mr. Max for the great atmosphere!

"That was SOOO GOOOOOD" - my wife.... love me some Thundercloud. This location has surprisingly easy/good parking for the location right on Riverside, enter on Burton. Aaron and John were great, top notch. The sandwich was fantastic, my wife always gets the NY Italian. I usually get the Office Favorite but went for the Ladybird, the new sandwich. OMG delicious! I did the avocado on the side so She could have it, Aaron offered Mustard/Mayo instead. Jalapeños and chicken salad, amazing! Sorry for the pictures, I already half.

They always and I mean ALWAYS...make the best sandwiches and are totally awesome. They are so much better than Subway. I also like the fact that they are smiling with each customer serviced . Food is so freaking fresh. 👍👍👍👍👍

Big fan. Always good sandwiches, people super nice, not too long of a wait generally, but be ready to be in line for a few minutes during lunchtime. I like to get the spicy Italian and some chips, and I can’t recommend that sando enough. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I like a toasted sub, and I don’t think that’s an option here. I was definitely full and satisfied for $11 and some change, which isn’t too bad in today’s Austin. Overall really solid place, an Austin classic, love going there.

I didn't eat there, I went to buy booze next door. I definitely recommend the place though, because their sign is a big a** 3D sandwich. If you can afford to put a giant sandwich hat on your building, you're doing something right!

I have been there three times now. It's a new gem. The quality if the food and the service are hard to match in the area. The sandwich chefs put great care into building each experience. I love the additude of the staff especially when it's busy. Always worth the small wait. I'm definitely looking forward to my fourth sandwich. The fritz pie was an unexpected delicious cheap light meal. Thanks for putting that on the menu. Great job Thundercloud!!! I will be back often. Love you guys.

The guy at the counter was very courteous and pleasant. I love the eggsalad with avocado, a splash of the thundercloud dressing, cream cheese, salt and pepper,
white footlong bread. Heaven! For a drink I had some 1/2 sweet tea. Perfect! I seldom get the chance to get to Austin. I hoped it was as good as the last time I had it. Absolutely, even better! Keep it up!

Great food and great people. Not long ago I got home and set the classic club on the kitchen counter, then for just a bit I went to let a dog in, in seconds flat her brother jumped up and snatched the sandwich to the floor. When I returned to Thundercloud with a request for "a replacement sandwich because the dog got it" they graciously made me a new one and despite my protestations refused to charge me for it. That's the kind of nice folks, good food, and also, attention to hygiene you'll find here.

Good sandwiches, fast service, and cool dudes behind the counter. It's a bit small for dine in, but I like most others were getting to go orders. Their sauce is the bomb.
